These meetings are held to give committee members an opportunity to have actual face-to- face time as they strategize regarding the implementation of the duties and tasks associated with their committee/office.

Please join us as we kick off Syn-Lod 2023 recognizing chapters in attendance, new chapters, chapter banners, presentation of the Vivien Coe Richard National TTA Leadership Academy candidates, NAACP ACT-SO Olympics, Key Alliance Partners and others. The Performing Arts Competition will also be presented featuring the first place winner of each of the six areas. Ladies, Teens, and Lords will have an opportunity to share and perform their “Motown” act with us.
In collaboration with NCNW, you will have an opportunity to explore and ask questions regarding vaccines and information being shared with the public and in private. Please visit the Good Health Wins Medical Wellness Station to get answers to any questions you may have regarding your health and wellness.
To experience and embrace the full affect of being inducted into our illustrious organization, all ladies Inducted into the organization virtually during the pandemic, will have an opportunity to participate in a Celebratory Induction just for them. All Ladies inducted virtually into their chapter March 2020 through March 2023 are welcome to participate.
During Syn-Lod take a walk down memory lane and breeze through the historical walls of the TTA and TLOD Past National Presidents. You are welcomed to take pictures beside and in front of images.

Duringanelectionyear,itisaTLODtraditionthataplatformbeprovidedfor candidatesrunningforofficetomeet,greet,anddiscussmatterswithmembers whilegettingtoknowthem.EachTLOD/TTAcandidatewillhostatablelocated insidetheballroomtogreetmembersandpassoutinformation,snacksandtake photos.Checkoutwhoisrunningforofficewhilemeetingotherladiesandteens fromtheotherareas.
Memberswillhaveanopportunitytomeetandgreetcandidatesrunningforoffice. Candidateswilleachhostatabletodisplaycampaignmaterialsandhavean opportunitytotalktothememberswhiletheyarecampaigning.

The Top Teens are the crowned jewels of Top Ladies of Distinction. The Speaker Tournament and Essay Writing Competition, Outstanding Top Teen, Scrapbook and Scholarship Awards will be presented. The graduating seniors will be featured and wearing their cap and gowns.
The Top Teens will have an opportunity to discuss real life situations and engage in a deep conversation about police reform, social justice and other live changing issues involving the police.
Special guest will engage the audience in a meaningful conversation to discuss the Black Agenda before, during and following the pandemic.
Designed to provide scholarships and support to the Top Teens of America. An event for members of 1.9.6.4. Club during a program and special event by Invitation Only. Members are asked to wear their 1.9.6.4. Club pins.
During Plenary Session III, the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and Golden Gems will stroll the pink carpet. The 5 Star Status Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond and Orchid chapters will be highlighted. The Silver Elite Members will take a bow and the Top Lady of The Year for 2022 and 2023 will be announced.
Top Teens of America will engage in a healthy competition while learning about their black history and cultural heritage during the Dorothy Allen Chimney Black History
Bowl game with their peers from other chapters and areas.
Former Top Teens will be onsite to share with the Top Teens and to bring the Ladies up to date on what is going on with the council. TTA Council Representatives will provide updates and former Top Teen, Dr. Stanley Lewis will be on hand to discuss his company Therapeutics A28.
The 11th National President will reveal the handwritten and sticky notes placed in the Time Capsule by individuals in attendance during the 1999 Parliamen-Top Encasement Ceremony in which the 9th National President, Vivien Coe Richard, held during her tenure as National President & CEO.
As we come together as a TLOD Family, we will acknowledge the work of the organization in the Los Angeles area and connect with the community and city officials to award and recognize individuals and agencies in the areas of Top Teens of America, Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification and Community Partnerships. The Ina Bolton Brown Humanitarian Award will also be presented.

The convention will end with all remembering the 8 Founders of our beloved organization who are responsible for our existence since 1964.
Outgoing and incoming teams (TLOD and TTA) will transition at the end of a successful administration (during a pandemic) and the beginning of a new one.
