UNA'S RACHEL PRICE BELL JOINS
ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA® HALL OF FAME In June, former University of North Alabama volleyball AllAmerican and Academic AllAmerica® Dr. Rachel Price Bell received one of the highest honors in collegiate athletics when she was inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America® Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2017. Created in 1988, the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame recognizes former Academic All-Americas who received a college degree at least 10 years prior and have achieved lifetime success in their professional careers. The four new inductees joined the prestigious 142-members Academic All-America® Hall of Fame from more than 26,000 all-time Academic All-America® selections. Price Bell becomes the first Academic All-America® Hall of Fame inductee from a Gulf South Conference school or from a school from the state of Alabama.
Following her graduation from UNA , Price earned a PhD. in biomedical engineering from Purdue University. The clinical scientist is currently employed as a clinical project manager in West Lafayette, Ind., coordinating studies for new medical devices.
