BELLAMARE RESIDENCIAL BUILDINGCONSTRUCTION MYJ.

The Bellamare building located in Santa Marta city is a residential building constructed to cover the need for housing generation. This status will grant the residents in the building safety and will guarantee a quality of life. The project aims to display a structural design that satisfies the relevant constructive specs from the established structural model. The evaluation rubric of the final essay of this project is attached to structural, constructive, and financial parameters, which will indicate the best structural alternative for the project. The structural system to design is a combined scheme using portico and load-bearing walls with moderate energy dissipation capacity (DMO) that follows the ACI CODE 31814: Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete. It will also have twodirectional concrete slabs on supporting beams with a system of intermediate beams able to bare the intermediate seismic risk. The building has a variety of slabs that lay on a basement, six residential stories, a machine room, and roofing. The development of the structural model poses some limitations that require resizing the seismic-resistant structural members. The Colombian construction code NSR-10 was used as a guide for the design of the structural model, along with the American Concrete Institute code ACI 318-14 presenting an optimum design for the construction of the building.
