ADVANCED CLINICAL PRACTICE

MSc/MSc Degree Apprenticeship

This programme of study has been created to meet the needs of a diverse range of health and social care professionals including nurses, midwives, health visitors and allied health professionals.

It is designed to facilitate the development of knowledge and skills related to advanced clinical practice, mapped and informed by nationally accepted frameworks for advanced clinical practice (Health Education England 2018, Skills for Health Advanced Degree Apprenticeship 2018) to ensure that the programme of study is relevant to contemporary practice. Successful completion of this course can support you in evidencing your learning and progression when applying for career development and promotion in roles associated with an advanced level of clinical practice.

This MSc programme emphasises flexibility, and maximises choice, so that learning opportunities meet the needs of your developing role.

Duration

MSc – up to five years part-time

MSc Degree Apprenticeship – up to three years part-time

Entry requirements

Students will hold current registration with one of the statutory regulators of health and care professions

Hold a Bachelors (Hons) degree at 2:2 (or above) or evidence of recent studies successfully at Masters level

Minimum two years post registration experience with minimum six months experience in the relevant clinical speciality

Access to relevant area of clinical practice with support of their organisation on their advancing role

Level 2 English and maths at GCSE grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) as part of our standard entry requirements

Duration

One year full-time, two years part-time

Entry requirements

Applicants will need to hold a BSc degree in Computing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Data Science and AI, CyberSecurity or cognate degree or have equivalent industry experience

International/English language requirements are as for the existing MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
