CREATIVE AND CRITICAL WRITING MA
This MA course is ideally suited to those who want to focus on their passion for creative writing whilst engaging with the most up-to-date debates in critical theory.
Designed to give you the opportunity to specialise as writers, critics and practitioners, the course offers you the chance to nurture your development as a reflective scholar and enhance your abilities as a creative writer, thinker and communicator.
You will experience learning in the interconnected fields of creative writing and critical thinking. The MA combines practice-based learning and a choice of specialisms in historical fiction, children’s literature, adaptations, a writerin-residence module and a final dissertation which will be a substantial body of professional-standard work in fiction, creative non-fiction, or critical writing.
Any of our optional modules can be completed individually as CPD opportunities prior to course enrolment.
The course also supports you in a number of professional contexts such as teaching, publishing, editing and professional writing, as well as enhancing life skills and providing access to doctoral-level study.
