PROPOSAL ID: 1011211984
CALL: [ERASMUS-YOUTH-2023-CSC-OG-SGA] — [CIVIL SOCIETY COOPERATION IN THE FIELDS OF YOUTH, EDUCATION AND TRAINING (SGA)
EUROPE DAYS
Introduction
The TUNE members organized special "Europe Day" info sessions to encourage young people to get involved in community activities. These sessions, shaped by insights from the EU Youth Strategy seminar, focused on spreading awareness on European youth policy frameworks. Using creative methods like peer support and games, the info days provided 1155 young participants with essential information about mobility programs across Europe. Each organization hosted three info days, making sure to reach at least 15 young people in each session. The goal was to give accurate and friendly information, prioritizing those with fewer opportunities, and holding these events in schools, universities, and through open calls. This initiative not only informed the youth about EU Youth policy and goals but also aimed to make mobility opportunities more equally accessible.
Methodology
The strategic plan to conduct info sessions, led by TUNE members drawing with insights from the EU youth strategy seminar, was a practical approach aimed at empowering young participants by providing information on resources, tools, and activities that enhance youth participation in civil society. The focus on disseminating knowledge and tools aligns with the goal of equipping young people for active engagement. The initiative particularly targets awareness of mobility programs, employing innovative methods like peer youth information, testimonies, and non-formal learning games to make information more accessible and engaging. The planned activities during Info Days, each aiming for a minimum of 45 participants per organization, collectively strive to inform a significant number (810 participants in total) about mobility programs across Europe. This approach underscores a commitment to inclusivity by prioritizing disadvantaged young people, ensuring that the TUNE project reaches those with fewer opportunities. The project surpassed the declared indicators and reach 1155 participants across Europe.
1. Europe Days (Peer-to-Peer Learning)
During Europe Days, peer-to-peer learning played a crucial role as young individuals collaborated to share knowledge and insights. This approach involved participants exchanging information about EU mobility programs, discussing personal experiences, and providing support to their peers. The interactive nature of peer-to-peer learning created a dynamic and supportive environment, empowering young people through shared knowledge and collective experiences. This collaborative educational method fostered a sense of connection and engagement among participants during the Europe Days events.
Each of the 18 partners successfully conducted three information sessions, accommodating at least 15 participants in each session.
Duration: Each info session extended for approximately 2 hours, allowing for comprehensive discussions and interactive Q&Asessions.
Data Collection
Sex-Disaggregated Data Collection:
Ameticulous approach was adopted to collect and analyze sex-disaggregated data, providing nuanced insights into the gender distribution among participants. This data-driven strategy enables more precise planning and tailoring of future initiatives to meet the distinct needs and preferences of both male and female participants.
In Europe Days, where 1155 participants from 18 organizations across 16 countries actively engaged, the significance of gender-disaggregated data cannot be overstated. Beyond the binary categories of 'man' and 'woman,' incorporating diverse gender identities ensures a more inclusive representation. This data sheds light on the varied experiences within the participant pool, contributing to a richer understanding of the impact of Europe Days across different gender groups.
In particular, the sex-disaggregated data from Europe Days reveals a diverse participation: 55.8% females, 42.2% males, and 1.8% non-binary individuals.Among the 1155 participants, this breakdown translates to 646 females, 488 males, and 21 non-binary individuals.
This careful breakdown helps organizers better plan for future events, making sure they meet the needs of everyone involved. It shows the importance of recognizing and including people of different gender identities, making Europe Days more welcoming and representative for everyone.
Quality assurance and evaluation
The info day event during Europe Days was characterized by an engaging and informative atmosphere. Participants were encouraged to share their expectations, fostering a sense of inclusivity and relevance. The event aimed at equipping individuals with knowledge about European programs, and the interactive sessions provided valuable insights. The focus on peerto-peer learning and innovative methodologies, such as testimonies and non-formal learning games, contributed to a dynamic and participatory experience.
The question of whether participants would apply to European programs after the event is crucial for assessing the impact. Positive responses would indicate that the event effectively conveyed information and inspired attendees to consider further engagement with European initiatives. The level of satisfaction reported by participants is also a key indicator of the event's success. High satisfaction rates would suggest that the objectives were met, and the content was well-received.
Additionally, evaluating the efficiency of the methodology used during Europe Days is essential. An affirmative response would indicate that the chosen approaches, such as peer learning and interactive methods, effectively communicated information and engaged participants. Conversely, if improvements are suggested, it could guide adjustments for future events, ensuring continuous enhancement of the Europe Days experience. Overall, analyzing these aspects provides valuable insights into the event's effectiveness and lays the groundwork for refining future initiatives.
Analyzing the provided numbers from the evaluation of the info day event during Europe Days offers insights into participant perceptions:
1. Info Day Event Description (80.4%): The majority of participants, at 80.4%, described the info day event in alignment with or even exceeding their expectations. This indicates a positive reception of the event content, structure, and overall experience. The high percentage suggests that the organizers successfully met or surpassed participant anticipations, creating a positive initial impression.
2. Likelihood to Apply to European Programs (64.25%): With a 64.25% rating for the intention to apply to European programs after the event, there is room for improvement. While a substantial percentage is still positive, this figure indicates that a significant portion of participants may need further encouragement or information to consider applying. Analyzing the reasons behind this rating could provide insights into potential barriers or areas for enhancement in future events.
3. Satisfaction with the Event (79.8%): A satisfaction rate of 79.8% reflects a strong overall positive response from participants. This suggests that the event successfully met the expectations and needs of a considerable majority. The high satisfaction rate indicates that participants found value in the content and structure of the event, contributing to a positive overall experience.
4. Efficiency of the Methodology (87.5%): The efficiency rating of 87.5% for the methodology suggests a high level of effectiveness. Participants found the chosen methods, such as peer-to-peer learning and interactive approaches, to be efficient in conveying information. This positive response indicates that the organizers successfully employed engaging and impactful methodologies during the info day event.

Conclusions
Europe Days, characterized by engaging info sessions and innovative learning approaches, have demonstrated their effectiveness in promoting active engagement and empowerment within the community. The blend of interactive methodologies, such as peer-to-peer learning and nonformal activities, has created an environment that transcends traditional information sessions. Participants actively contribute to the learning process, fostering a sense of involvement in civil society. Europe Days exceeded the initially declared indicators of 810 participants and reached 1155 suggests a high level of interest and engagement in the event.
Inclusivity stands as a cornerstone of Europe Days, with a dedicated focus on providing tailored support to young individuals facing fewer opportunities. The initiatives are designed to address diverse needs, ensuring that the benefits of EU mobility programs are accessible to all. The commitment to inclusivity not only contributes to bridging gaps in access but also emphasizes the importance of creating opportunities for those who may face barriers in the pursuit of personal and professional growth. The relatively small number of non-binary participants, totaling 21 out of 1155 during Europe Days, suggests a potential area for improvement in terms of inclusivity.
The collaborative nature of Europe Days extends beyond individual engagement, fostering networking and knowledge exchange among participants, youth organizations, and workers.
