Master’s specialisation in

Visual Ethnography The Visual Ethnography specialisation offers a framework for producing contemporary anthropological research that addresses the pressing concerns of global vulnerabilities and social resilience. With the growing prominence of digital media, this specialisation highlights the vital role anthropology plays in the greater public. Through the development of technical skills and ethno-aesthetic sensibilities, visual ethnography emphasises a strongly hands-on, practice-based approach. You develop your own visual ethnography research project, with a thesis proposal and a multimodel portfolio. You will produce audiovisual data during a 2,5-month period of fieldwork and analyse and edit your materials to produce a multimodal thesis.
