Master’s specialisation in Clinical Neuropsychology
This master’s specialisation provides you with a theoretical background and practical training in clinical neuropsychology and neuropsychological research. As a neuropsychologist you assess, treat and study the cognitive, emotional and behavioural consequences of various types of brain dysfunctions. You are taught to focus on the diagnostic assessments, treatment, and scientific research according to the latest standards in clinical neuropsychological research and practice.

Why this specialisation at Leiden University? u This specialisation covers clinical neuropsychology across the life span, addressing both child, adult, and old age neuropsychology. u An important focus lays on the severe consequences brain dysfunctioning can have in the daily lives of these patients. u Modern research methods are used, in order to get profound knowledge of the brain and to keep up with the newest developments in the field. u An example of research currently being carried out by the Clinical Neuropsychology department is a nationwide study on navigation behaviour, in order to develop a navigation treatment for people with brain damage.
