YEARS OF PIONEERING FUTURES
As we commemorate our 125th anniversary, we reflect on our past as we pave the way for our future. Please join us in celebrating this significant milestone and our remarkable accomplishments.
Back in 1898, John Passmore Edwards, a philanthropist from the Victorian era, laid our foundation stone with the belief that education should be accessible to all. He believed this should include the workingclass community, young women, and those who were previously excluded from all learning opportunities. Despite the changes that have taken place over the past 125 years, our dedication to providing practical and career-oriented education in the east London community has never wavered.

They have given back to their communities and are continuously setting a powerful example for future generations. As an inclusive university, we remain committed to helping everyone achieve their career aspirations and ambitions.
