By the end of the day, each pupil will leave with a collection of poems to be proud of, some new skills in paper folding and an instruction book so they can teach friends and family their newfound haiku and origami skills.
Who is this course suitable for?
Children with an interest in craft, playing with language and poetry would be well-suited to this inclusive writing workshop.
We will write for each animal a poem in the form of haiku. Haiku is a brilliant Japanese form of poetry that is perfect for pupils in year 5 and 6. To be a successful haiku writer you just need the power to see the world in creative ways.
