Undergraduate courses

Bachelor’s degree

Our full-time Bachelor’s degrees normally take three years. Lots of our degrees also give you the option to take a placement or ‘sandwich’ year to build up your work experience, taking your degree to four years in total.

Top-up

If you’ve already got a Foundation degree or a qualification like a HND, then a Top-up course gives you the chance to build on that and study for a full Honours level degree. It takes one year full-time and it is subject to you meeting the entry criteria.

Postgraduate taught courses

Taught degrees

On a taught postgraduate degree, you’ll learn through a combination of lectures, seminars and practical work. Courses usually contain a taught element as well as a supervised dissertation or research project.

Master’s courses with a placement

Some of our Master’s courses with the Huddersfield Business School also offer the opportunity to do a six-month placement.

Flexible study options

Many courses can be studied full-time or parttime and some courses offer distance learning. A Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma are steps toward a Master’s degree, are internationally recognised and can be built upon in the future.

Integrated Master’s degree

An integrated Master’s degree gives you the opportunity to combine some undergraduate degrees with postgraduate study. Courses last four years, or five years if you spend a year on a placement. The first two years are normally the same as the equivalent Bachelor’s course. At the end of the course, you’ll earn a Master’s level degree.

Find out how to apply

The ability to study part-time will depend on the type of visa you hold. We have a dedicated team in the International Office to offer advice and guidance on applying for the best visa for your studies. You can contact them at immigration@hud.ac.uk to discuss your options.

Distance Learning

Studying online allows you to gain highly soughtafter qualifications from any location, without the need for a visa and fitting your studies around work and family life.

Our courses are delivered by academics from the University of Huddersfield, meaning you’ll benefit from the same high standards of teaching excellence as our on-campus students.
