SHORT-TERM COURSES AND SUMMER SCHOOLS These are a great opportunity to make the most of your summer if you don’t want to commit to a long period of time abroad. These options may be open to all students or be specific to students from certain academic areas. The International Opportunities Team facilitates and highly encourages students’ participation in several short-term courses and summer schools. Often, these opportunities are partly or fully funded by the organising body or institution. The University of Salford also supports students financially by contributing to travel expenses, such as visas. To give you an idea of the amazing things you could be part of, some of our students will be in Canada for the whole summer 2020 to undertake a fully funded research project! All these opportunities will be promoted via student news, social media and on our website www.salford.ac.uk/io Keep an eye out!
‘INTERNATIONALISATION AT HOME’ ACTIVITIES These activities are aimed at creating an international dimension and giving you global exposure here on campus. We are aware that not all students may not, for a variety of reasons, be able to be internationally mobile during their studies, therefore it is our priority to make sure that every student fully participates in international activities even without leaving Greater Manchester. Our goal is to integrate experiences and knowledge of local and international students from diverse backgrounds and prepare all students for an increasingly international workplace. Keep an eye on our social media and website to find out about the events we are organising throughout the year. Some virtual exchange opportunities will also be launched soon! For more info, please visit www.salford.ac.uk/io
