WHAT’S IT LIKE TO STUDY BUILT ENVIRONMENT FOUNDATION YEAR AT SALFORD? / Our Location Salford is a thriving, diverse centre located at the heart of Greater Manchester. We are surrounded by a rich architectural heritage from the industrial revolution, with fascinating new skyscrapers rising on our horizon. In 2019, we were once again ranked in the QS World Top 100 centres for architecture and built environment study, and with our green campus a mile away from Manchester city centre, you’ll be sure to have plenty of opportunities. / Constructionarium If you choose to progress on to study your undergraduate degree in Construction Project Management with us, you will have the opportunity to participate in Constructionarium. Constructionarium provides hands-on experience for built environment and engineering students to ensure you are able to apply your knowledge in a practical, safe and relevant environment. As part of a team, you will build a carefully designed, scaled down replica of an iconic structure from around the world. / Societies At the University of Salford, we have a range of student-run societies which cover all aspects of student life, from academia to sports, politics to the environment, performance to faith. Whether performing comedy, climbing through the countryside or raising awareness of cancer in young people, you will find a society of likeminded students where you are able to relax, socialise and enhance your skillset.
