Project Brief Design Overview



Project Brief

Floral Pastry is an upcoming small, family owned, pastry shop located in Las Vegas, NV. We specialize in French inspired pastries made fresh daily. Our selection includes a variety of individual size pastries such as cakes, breads, cookies and cream puff at affordable prices. Our bakery long term goal aims for providing the city with great tasting pastries and cakes. We aim for making our customers happy and satisfy with delicious homemade pastries.

Design Overview

Floral Pastry tries to stay away from the old traditional aesthetic of how a bakery portraits. We are aiming to create a modern image for the bakery with minimal and elegant designs. With that being said, we decided to incorporate minimalistic design into our brand. The brand’s typefaces will be using only san serif in order to convey a modern feeling. We also incoporate image of a ower as a symbolic meaning of our brand.

Basic Element Color Palette Typeface Logo



Color Palette The color usage of Floral Pastry is fairly minimal. The text will be in dark navy and the ower will be in gold. This is to create a contrast between the two tones. Navy: A dark blue color which has high readbility. Gold: A good constrast to the navy color uses in our ower symbol.

Typeface Typography is a powerful brand tool when used consistently. These sets of typeface best represent the bold and modern feel of the brand and should be used across all prints and web applications.

Symbol Description The logo symbol is a jasmine ower. As a bakery, Jasmine is an important ingredients in our cooking recipes.

Variations

Back and white logo could be use in black and white magazine or print.

White letters logo could be use on dark background color. Any dark background color other than navy is not recommended.

Navy color only logo could be use in prints to ensure readability.

Navy color logo could be use on light background color. Any dark background color other than navy is not recommend.

Clear Space And Minimum Size To ensure legibility, always keep a minimum clear space around the logo. This space isolates the mark from from any other graphic elements that might conflict with to avoid overcrowd.

Incorrect Usage Avoid using the logo incorrectly as it could take away the overall design element and cause confusion.
