What is an offer holder day? Exclusive to those who have received an offer to study with us, offer holder days are your opportunity to experience life as a University of Gloucestershire student and explore your course in greater depth. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to find out if we’re the right university for you.

FAQs I have already attended an open day should I go to an offer holder day too? Yes, this is your chance to find out what it would really be like to study your course so they’re worth attending. At an open day you would have attended a course talk, but at an offer holder day we’ll go into more detail about your course and you’ll get involved in interactive sessions to get a real feel for studying with us. Can I bring guests? Yes, you can bring two guests and there will be a Q&A session specifically for them. If you would like to bring more guests please let us know in advance. What time does the day start and finish? Where should I go on arrival?

The day runs between 10.30am – 5pm. Please check-in at the Business School reception where there’ll be student ambassadors to welcome you. Do I need to bring anything? You don’t need to bring anything, other than enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. What parking arrangements are available?

We’ll email you a parking permit before the day which you’ll need to print and use for parking on campus; remember to bring it with you on the day. How do I reach the campus by bus or train?

Bus: You can catch a National Express bus to Gloucester from most cities. Visit nationalexpress.com. Locally, you can hop on the 94U from Gloucester city centre, which stops right outside the campus. Will I be able to look around the university accommodation? As well as our on-campus accommodation, you’ll also have the opportunity to view our Blackfriars (in partnership with CityHeart) halls in Gloucester city centre. There will be buses running up to Blackfriars, so be sure to book onto a tour and check it out. Is food provided? Refreshments are provided on arrival and you will receive a complimentary lunch. The Business School This fantastic new space at our Oxstalls Campus opened in September 2018 and is home to all our business courses. You’ll engage in real business meetings in our boardroom, study customer experience in our consumer behaviour lab, present legal cases in our contemporary moot court room and feel the exciting rush of live exchange in our Thomson Reuters trading room. The £18 million building provides a professional environment for you to learn the latest techniques, using equipment you’d find in company headquarters around the globe.

Explore our stunning campus Located in Gloucester, Oxstalls is a high-energy campus of forwardthinking and competitive students. Be sure to check out our amazing facilities on your tour of the campus.

Sports park Our new Sports park is just a short walk away from the Business School. It includes an internationalstandard sports arena, 3G pitches and a cricket pavilion and pitch. Complementing our existing range of sports labs, fitness suites, tennis centre and sports hall, the new facilities will be home to BUCS competitions and our very own netball super league team, the Severn Stars. The Growth Hub As part of our new Business School, you’ll have access to the Growth Hub – a partnership with the Local Enterprise Partnership for Gloucestershire, which encourages real businesses to use the space, and our students, as a resource for developing their enterprises. You’ll work with professionals here as part of your studies and you can also set up your own business. Law clinic Law students learn how to argue cases in court, interview clients and negotiate agreements, benefiting from simulated trials and tribunals in our moot courtroom. Our law clinic gives you the opportunity to work alongside legal professionals, offering real advice to real clients on issues such as starting a business, consumer law and employment law, putting learning into practice.
