STUDENT ADVICE CENTRE The Student Advice Centre provides a free and impartial advice and information service to all University of Nottingham students. We can also provide prospective students with information, and advise former students (as long as your query directly relates to your time as a student at the University). Independent of the University, the Student Advice Centre team is made up of permanent members of staff employed by the Students’ Union. We adhere to a Code of Practice, which shapes the way we work. Our service is completely confidential to students seeking advice. We would not disclose any details of your visit to the Centre, or even the fact you have contacted the Centre, to anyone without your consent (unless there is a risk of harm to you or others). The main areas we provide help and support in are outlined in this leaflet.

EDUCATION Advice Our Education Advisers can provide you with support and advice on a wide range of issues including: • • • •

Academic Appeals Course Progression Academic Offences Complaints

• Fitness to Practice • Disciplinary Matters
