Urbana Quest, offered through Career Services, can help you make connections with potential future employers and graduate schools. With Career Services as your guide, you can build sharp interviewing skills, craft an impressive resume, or find the graduate school that’s right for you. The fact that Urbana students are well-prepared is evident by their success – 89% are employed or have continued their education six months after graduation. Of those employed, 78% are working in a field related to their major. Step Up to the Plate Athletics at Urbana are an important part of our identity. That’s why we offer a variety of sports for men and women. One student athlete recently signed with the Kansas City Royals baseball organization. Recently the women’s basketball team was awarded the Scholar Team distinction for maintaining a GPA of more than 3.0 for 28 consecutive semesters.

The groundwork for the founding of the University was laid in part by John Chapman, better known as “Johnny Appleseed.” The University was the second institution in Ohio to admit women! The Shelton Leadership Challenge The Shelton Leadership Challenge at Urbana University is a one week residential summer experience for rising freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Blue Knight Athletics Urbana University is a member of the NCAA Division II for the men’s and women’s athletic teams. Scholarships are available for all team sports. Intramural sports are available for all students to participate in such as basketball, softball, volleyball, and flag football. The Warren G. Grimes Center offers on-campus facilities for all students, faculty, and staff. Campus Activities At Urbana University, every student has the opportunity to become involved in many campus activities. The academic clubs, honor societies, and professional associations allow students to combine their interest with their majors. The Student Government Association and the Student Activities Committee offer leadership opportunities.
