Abstract
The following document is a set of using the theory of analyzing and modulization of the
space configuration in urban space which is: Space Syntax.
This study focalizes on the walkability in the principal linear of Sidi Bou-Saïd, a Tunisian
city, by promoting at first the descriptive analyzes observatory based on investigations and
behavioral analyses and thanks to QGIS, we have cataloged the different hierarchies of roads,
their measures and the area qualification. Secondly, we opted the comparison of this data
collection with theorical result based on space configuration of axial map leading the method
of space syntax by depth map software.
This main software provides many outputs such as: the integration, the connectivity etc.…
between Steet in globally and locally scales which gives an idea on the strongest connections
way and how they were distributed within the area.
Finally, we implement a development proposal and a suggestion of urban planning. FH & GP
