EXISTING SITUATION
COSY BAR_DESIGN STRATEGY
DESIGN STRATEGY -the cosy bar can be considered as the crossroad between the hotel pool, the garden and the beach. Thus, the design proposed will facilitate a gradient passage from the hotel to the beach. -the bar is organized in three sitting areas that are getting more dense towards the pool, both in terms of roof covering but also in terms of furniture density: 1. the deck area 2. the lounge area 3. the main sitting area and the coctail bar
1. deck area it is the last zone that dissolves into the beach and is not covered with roof. the wooden deck has a slight inclination that follows the ground inclination and provides space for lying and siitng on poofs.
2. lounge area the middle zone is covered with the new pergola. The textile roof can open or close according to the needs. It provides the customers with comfortable couches and dissolves into the grass area with more lounge furniture.
3. main sitting area and coctail bar the main sitting area is totally covered and protected from sun and rain. It offers different qualities for sitting: couches, tables and bar stools. The coctail bar is the main attraction of the space and the dj is placed so that he is visible from all the three areas.
COSY BAR _ PLAN
PERGOLA CONSTRUCTION wooden lightweigt structure with textiles in tension that covers the rest of the sitting area. It is flexible and can be opened or closed according to the needs.
BAR CONSTRUCTION wooden construction in the backround of the bar that plays a double role: it covers all the facilities of the bar in order to save time for the personel after bar closure and indicates easily the opening hours to the hotel customers
BAMBOO FENCE lightweigt bamboo fence that camouflages the view to the adjacent plot and contributes to the warm atmosphere of the bar
WOODEN DECK wooden deck that dissolves into the grass the slight inclination of the deck allows people to lay on the deck and enjoy the view to the sea in a very comfortable way.
FURNITURE AND DECORATION the needed furniture varies from sofas, tables, lounge chairs and normal chairs to bar stools and poofs. According to the proposed arrangement the bar can serve minimum 180 people in different sitting areas. The decoration includes cusions, curtains and lightnings.
