I would describe myself as a scholar, an athlete, a helper and a community member. My goal revolves around learning the inner workings of the hospitals, clinics and medical services I’ve used throughout my life. This scholarship will help alleviate some of the financial difficulty I have been facing in regard to paying for school and will more easily allow me to achieve my dream of helping people through health services.

Jesse Hertzke | Junior | Occupational Science & Technology

My professional “raison d’être” is helping others thrive through occupations that are meaningful and beneficial to them. I have physical as well as neurodevelopmental disabilities that connect me in some ways to the population that OT serves. It’s difficult to articulate how much earning this scholarship means to me. It inspires me to work even harder each day, and for that and more I will forever be thankful for all of you that have made this possible.
