HELLO. I AM VALERIE BOGLE AND I’M VERY HAPPY TO MEET YOU. I WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO TELL YOU A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF AND WHY PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUCH A PASSION OF MINE. I’ll begin by telling you that prior to my life as a professional photographer, my days were spent as an Art Director, Designer and a Model. I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of things. Throughout my career, I’ve been all around the camera, from conceptualizing and art directing shoots for clients like Publix, Royal Caribbean, as well as most of the Marriott Hotel Brands; Residence Inn, Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Springhill Suites and Courtyard. Not to mention in front of the camera for companies like CocaCola, Florida Tourism, Publix, Kash n’ Karry, Brighthouse Networks, Carnival Cruiselines, and too many more to mention. During this time, my time shooting was for fun, for friends, family and personal vacation photo journaling. I

T WAS CLEAR that in the center of all I’ve enjoyed doing—was a camera!
I love meeting with clients and talking (read: gushing) about their shoot. I love customizing shoots, creating storyboards, and most of all I love creating amazing photos my clients love. Sigh. I just adore it all. As someone who’s been on the other side of the camera, I totally understand the excitement, the nerves and even the stress that can come when being photographed. Think of me as not just your photographer, but as a friend who will listen to what type of photos you’re after, guide you each step of the way and give you one less thing to worry about! Unlike some photographers, I shoot in a studio, but not a stuffy one, one that feels more like a cool Manhattan flat. In addition to the studio, I also shoot on location—there are so many great spots nearby, and I’m always on the lookout for the next cool place! I believe details are exceedingly important. For that reason, I work closely with you to give you the piece of mind to enjoy each moment, while I’m busy shooting them. After all, this day is all about you! I look forward to getting to know you and capturing photos that you and those you love will cherish for years to come!

WHY DO PEOPLE BOOK A SHOOT?
There are countless reasons you may be considering a Glamour, Fashion and Beauty Photo Shoot. Below are just a few: • You deserve to be pampered, if even only for the day. • Someone that loves you gave you the gift of being reminded how beautiful you are. Or you decided to treat yourself. • You’re a Senior in High School, and want amazing pictures to celebrate this time in your life. • You’ve had a major life event, ie. reaching one of those milestone ages, a promotion, weight loss, etc...and you want portraits to commemorate this time in your life. • You want portraits to display on the walls in your home. • You recognize the importance of being in photos throughout different seasons in your life, and now is one of them. • You realize you never take the time for yourself and certainly not for photos, and you want something to leave to your children. • You just enjoy having your photos done, and why not?!
The number one concern about doing a photo shoot is,
“I’m not good at having my picture taken, I’m not really sure what to do.” That is a common concern, yet one that can easily be addressed. Depending on the reason for your shoot, I can help you each step along the way. From what to bring, what to wear, how to prepare, and how to pose. Having done this for many many years now, I am certain once we get the process started, you’ll feel more and more at ease each step of the way. And I’m confident by the time we’re done, you’ll wonder what you were worrying about! As we customize your session, including the location and props (if neeeded), I’ll provide you with details, tips and advice on how to preparefor the day of your session. And, of course, you’ll want to bring several outfits and options for the shoot. Some see this as an excuse to go shopping! CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAPHER
OK, so I know that selfishly as a professional photographer, I should just tell you to book your shoot with Valerie Bogle Photography and be done with it. For me, though, booking a photographer is a really, really important decision that you shouldn’t take lightly.
First and foremost, I believe that you should book a photographer who captures the types of images you love. In addition, I believe that the photographer you choose should be someone whose company you enjoy. After all, you’re going to spend a lot of time with that person on your shoot! Make sure they will take the time necessary to plan a shoot just for you, not a cookie cutter shoot that everyone has. If you love the images you see on my website and in this welcome packet, that’s just one reason why you should book with me. Another reason? You want photos that capture your personality and your style, photos you’ll be proud to share with your friends and family for years to come, and that’ll be exactly what I’m after. The photos you get from Valerie Bogle Photography depends on the collection you choose. Of course, the larger the collection, the more bang for your buck. No matter what package or add-ons you select, the photos from your shoot will be beautiful. I take both journalistic/lifestyle images along with more stylized shots - but we will be sure to chat about what you’re after once you book your shoot to be sure you get what you’re looking for. As women, we are often our own worst critic. Its so easy to compare ourselves to the women we see in the magazines and on tv, rather than celebrate the beauty we each have. We hope to change that. • Consultation: You’ll have a brief phone call prior to your shoot to review the process, and answer any questions you may have. • Pricing: A link to Products & Pricing will be provided. On average, clients spend between $1500 - $2500, but there is no obligation. • Obligation: There is no obligation for you to buy anything other than the shoot itself! Of course, Valerie’s goal is to do such a great job with your portraits, that you’ll want the whole collection, but, when it comes down to it, you only buy the ones you want! • Wardrobe: Bring things that make you feel beautiful...or buy something special for your shoot. Valerie will send you links to use for reference, and is always available if you want to send photos of what you have in mind to get feedback. In addition, before your shoot begins, Valerie will go through your clothes and help you select outfits the day of shoot. For an additional fee, you can hire her to shop with you to pick out the perfect outfits, sometimes we need a good excuse to go shopping. • Hair & Makeup: Don’t worry a thing about your hair & makeup! There is always a professional hair & makeup artist at every shoot to allow you to be pampered, and have everything taken care of for you! • Duration: The session will last about 3-3 1/2 hours, which allows for hair & makeup, wardrobe changes for a unique look for each shot, posing, and of course, shooting. • Posing: No need to worry about what you’re going to do in front of the camera - you do not need ANY modeling experience! Valerie will guide you each and every step of the way! You’ll feel like a supermodel by the time you leave! • Photo Premiere: Usually within 3 weeks, you’ll return to the Studio to review your final images. You can expect to have around 30 portraits to choose from!

To be sure, it’s not the ‘glamour shots’ of the 80’s! No big hair or boas or cheesy backgrounds. ;)
To book with Valerie Bogle Photography, just send me an email or call me to book. Shoot fee is due at time of booking and includes a non-refundable fee of $150 for cancellations made within 21 days of shoot date!
I know waiting is tough, and timing is often dictated by number of shoots happening around the time of yours. However, your Photo Premiere will typically take place between 2-3 weeks after your shoot.
DO YOU PROVIDE DIGITAL FILES?

Today’s Glamour photography is a kind of photography which is less about stiffly posed photos, but rather aims to capture people in flattring poses that showcase their beauty. My style is more like what you might see in a magazine - which is fitting since you’ll not only feel like a Supermodel during your shoot, you’ll be treated like one!! My goal is always to help women relax and come alive in front of the camera—to remind them how beautiful they really are!! To provide images you’ll love to share and display in your home, and pass down for generations to come. Be sure to call Valerie to find out more about it!

Yes! You will receive low-res digital files with every portrait you purchase. In addition, you have the option to purchase hi-res files in place of prints.
DO I BRING MY OWN MAKEUP? There will be a hair/makeup artist to do your hair & makeup for you. So, come without any makeup, since Valerie does Befores & Afters, and we’ll want a clean face to start with. If you have any allergies to any types of makeup, then by all means bring what you know works for you. And if you have a favorite lip color, you’re welcome to bring it too.

DO YOU OFFER PROFESSIONAL RETOUCHING? Every image will be professionally color corrected and retouched for the finest image. However, if more involved retouching is required, ie. removing braces scars, tattoos, etc, a retouching fee may apply.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND? Yes, of course, please do! Why not share in the fun! Not to mention you can share the cost of the shoot. Hair & Makeup is included for 1 or 2 people.
