FASHION SHOWROOM
ITALIAN FASHION HOUSE: MOSCHINO Location: Rome, Italy
While studying abroad, we chose an Italian fashion house and did intensive research on how to design a fashion showroom for them to be placed in a historic building near the Spanish Steps which currently houses Valentino’s fashion showroom. Moschino’s brand is very wild so I wanted to design in a way to emphasize and not distract from his products which are already art pieces in themselves by using contrasting elements that help draw the viewers eye to the product and then frame it like a work of art.

BOOKSTORE/CAFE
BOOKSTORE/CAFE: BEYOND Location: EUR, Italy
CONCEPT: We had to create a bookstore for a famous Italian. I chose Luca Parmitano, an astronaut and former Italian airforce pilot. After doing research on gravity, I decided to create my bookshelves in a way that reflects how gravity affects objects as they move through the different layers of the atmosphere. In collaboration with 4th year architects, we had to stay in constant contact to make sure the interior and exterior stayed in relation.

NANODE
FUTURE MEDICAL NODE: NANOTECHNOLOGY Location: Brooklyn, New York
In a 3 week collaboration effort with two third year architecture students, we were to design a small medical node that takes place in the future in a town in Brooklyn, New York. We wanted to design a nanotechnology node since nanotechnology will be very prevelant in the future. Our selected town was Carroll Gardens, a well-off town who when doing research had a large population with heart problems. So we focused our nanotechnology node to be heart disease specific in order to cater to the populations needs. Our design is based off of the three main valves of the heart which is where our circulation towers come into play. Sustanability was a large factor so we incorportated a green wall and some natural materials.

MENTOR CENTER
SENIOR/CHILD MENTOR CENTER Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
After being paired with a group of occupational therapy students to learn about universal design, we had to create a mentor center where elder people and children can come after school and do homework, yoga, cook etc. My concept derived from trying to create and integrate a space that is inclusive for all ages involved including the children, staff, and elderly people. So I created a main wooden element that flows through the space that is used as the floor, walls, and ceilings to seperate spaces.
