Secretary’s Report

Hi all, well back from holiday, great weather in Nelson and plenty of fish to keep me busy including three Orcas that cruised up the channel and back hunting for stingrays. Now its back into it.

This month I will be attending the half yearly meeting of the National Excutive as your delegate. There are one or two fairly important issues being raised, like the notice of motion re online membership I mentioned in Feb Hub.

I have contacted the majority of the 57 unfinancial members and would like to remind you that your membership will cease as of 20 March if the five month overdue amount is not paid to National Office.

Thankyou to those that have brought their subscription up to date, your continued membership status is now secured. If you are in any doubt as to whether you have paid, the lack of the Beaded Wheels and Hub magazines is a good indicator.

The opportunity to subscribe to the printed and posted version of the branch magazine is still available and to the first members who apply will receive the Feb Magazine until I run out.

Owing to the unfortunate accident during the Annual Motorcycle Rally I need to remind rally organizers of the suggestion to fill out an event safety check list.

This tool is available as a guide to remind you of what to look out for when setting up an event, contact myself or it can be accessed from the Branch Manual. (Club Web Site)

In the event of and accident it is a usefull tool to be able to fall back on if required.

Our very best wishers go to the member involved in this accident and wish him a speedy recovery.
