Well here we are, August all ready, Club AGM just two weeks away. ARE YOU ATTENDING – 9am Saturday 14 th August, Rydges Hotel, Latimer Sq. 1: The notice of motion re the introduction of the facility for on-line membership.

2: The Rebranding of the Club with a new Logo.

The first item is a no-brainer, in this day and age of “I want it now”. As secretary I can only see this as making my job a little easier and will I’m sure attract more of the younger generation via Face Book and other online services.

Now Item 2: THE NEW LOGO I have been underwhelmed with email responses from our 1100 plus members. Thank you to those that have replied to my request not to phone or accost me in person, I have enjoyed reading your reasons, positive, negative, and in between comments. At this stage Canterbury have approximately 10 negative, 24 Positive and 6 semi positive that would like to make changes to what has been put to us. These figures include our joint members so I feel I have been shown a direction from a minority to present to the branch committee Canterbury’s overwhelming support for the new concept. If at this late stage you feel strongly either way you now have approx. 10 days to let me know by email, or you can attend the AGM and have your say. SEE YOU THERE. Rod Secretary / Delegate OR ?
