R.O.M. SpA / NIDEK : focus on autoref-ker NIDEK AR/ARK-F With its smooth and precise measurement NIDEK AR/ARK-autoref-ker proposed by R.O.M. simplifies the visual screening. The measurement is automatic and manageable even from a distance: by placing the chin on the chin rest, the eye detection camera of AR/ARK-F detects the position of the eyes and the measurement starts, without pressing any buttons. A voice guidance helps the measurement proceed smoothly for any operator. Screening in manual mode is also possible, using the 7.0 inch touch screen, which can be tilted and swiveld. Alternatively, the operator can use a hand controller or a tablet, which splits the screen of the instrument. In AR/ARK-F, the enlarged image of the pupillary zone allows the refraction of a diameter area of up to 6 mm to be measured and the difference to the refraction of the central zone (diameter up to 3.5 mm) to be detected at the same time. This parameter allows the evaluation of the behaviour of the pupil size, as in the case of vision in reduced light. The objective measurement of accommodative power is performed with the patient focusing on a target moving from far to near. An intelligent algorithm detects the patient’s reaction and reduces the measurement time in case of slow or weak accommodation. The measurement of accommodative power allows the assessment of pseudo-myopia, asthenopia (visual fatigue) and paresis of accommodation. Con la sua misurazione fluida e precisa l’autoref-ker NIDEK AR/ARK-Fvi proposto da R.O.M. SpA facilita lo svolgimento dello screening visivo. La misurazione è automatica e gestibile anche a distanza: appoggiando il mento sulla mentoniera, la telecamera di rilevamento oculare di AR/ARK-F rileva la posizione degli occhi e la misurazione inizia, senza premere alcun pulsante. Una guida vocale aiuta l’esecuzione della misurazione, fluida per qualsiasi operatore. È possibile anche effettuare lo screening in modalità manuale, mediante il touch screen da 7,0 pollici, inclinabile e girevole. In alternativa l’operatore può usare un controller manuale o un tablet, che sdoppia lo schermo dello strumento. In AR/ARK-F l’ampliamento dell’immagine della zona pupillare consente di misurare la refrazione di una area di diametro fino a 6 mm e rilevare contemporaneamente la differenza rispetto alla refrazione della zona centrale (diametro fino a 3,5 mm). Questo parametro consente la valutazione del comportamento della dimensione della pupilla, come nel caso della visione in presenza di luce fioca. La misurazione oggettiva del potere accomodativo viene eseguita con il paziente che mette a fuoco un target che si sposta da lontano a vicino. Un algoritmo intelligente rileva la reazione del paziente e riduce il tempo di misurazione in caso di accomodazione lenta o debole. La misurazione del potere accomodativo consente di valutare pseudomiopia, astenopia (stanchezza visiva) e paresi dell’accomodazione.
