The Motivational SuperCharger of the 21 st Century

Kevin T. Robertson America’s Leading FOCUS Expert

Vedere l 4

VM- Watching your youtube channel videos, your positive message is infectous. What is your secret to staying positive? KTR- Positive energy is the driving force behind any successful career. There is no time to be negative if you want a life full of success and beneficial results. I have always strived to be successful and have always attracted success because of the way I think. Work hard, stay focused on your target and negative thoughts will not break your concentration on living your dream. VM-Without sounding negative, do you ever have those days where it’s difficult to get to 1 00%? What mental imaging or self motivation techniques do you employ to change the mood of the day? KTR- Yes I do have days where things are not going great; however things could always be worse. Tell yourself “I’m alive, God has allowed me to see another day, so therefore I have another chance to get it right so today success is mine”. Solve the problems at hand and stay focused on getting better results. I don’t expect things to be perfect, however I do expect myself to try hard every day and live with a high level of expectancy to keep fighting for my dreams, live and do better. VM- Being the leading Focus Expert, what is the most important piece of advice you can give others to help them on a daily basis? KTR- Remember the goal, never loses sight of your dreams. Write down what you want to accomplish each day. Schedule priorities; work on tasks that are important and advance your goals, not things that are urgent and throw you in to panic mode leaving you at a standstill. Maximize and balance your time within 24 hours. Focus on work, rest and play. Vedere l 5

VM- In many of your videos faith plays an important part of your message. What do you say to young people and even older people who have lost faith or at least questioning it? KTR- Look around you, God is not hard to see, start with yourself. Give faith a chance, if you say you have faith then don’t worry. I know that’s hard for young people because everything is so visual with them, being able to see it in Technicolor is huge. You believe that tomorrow will come so you must have that same faith that your dreams will all come true with focus and hard work. No one said it would be easy, but remember anything of value has a price tag and that is usually time, hard work, motivation, education, focus, and build bridges out of uncertainty. Anything is possible because you have the power of faith to be unstoppable.

VM- With all the angst we have in the country and the world, share with the readers what you see would be the first step to improving conditions. KTR- Wow, loaded question, getting back to basics, family, etc VM- Have you found we as a people find it increasingly difficult to talk to each other about differences? How would you recommend we regain our focus, listen to

others and search for common ground to solve our problems and move forward as one nation?

stars of TV, music and film is there one underlying trait you have seen in each of these people?

KTR- The key is to really listen to each other, we are not focusing on the larger picture, we are all different and we want different things to happen in our lives, so you cannot be selfish, some days it will go your way and some days someone else will win, but as long as we all get a chance on a given day I think we should be happy with that. Getting a better understanding of people in broad and general terms and really getting to know their strengths, characteristics, limitations and tendencies will help improve our communication and build effective relationships.

KTR- Yes they all have extreme focus to attain their goals and they never give up on their dreams.

VM- Your career has been diverse to say the least including acting, song writing, and music performer and now focus expert. How has all of this diverse experience culminated in your present position in life? Knowing no 2 people are the same, would you recommend young people follow such a diverse path in their life long pursuit of body, mind and soul? KTR- I have been blessed with many talents; however it has taken me a while to bring them full circle. I have the opportunity to develop and explore all my talent and I think that’s important, to have the time to explore and educate yourself on what it is you want to do and what is your true passion. People always say I do this, I do that, but what do you do well? What are you willing to sacrifice to learn the skills to be the best at what you do? Always have the willingness to learn something new every day and help someone else along your journey as well. VM- You have the great fortune to interview

VM- What motivates you to help others? KTR- That’s just how I’m wired, to help others. I love to see people happy. I get an unbelievable feeling of joy when I am able to inspire someone or help them get better result out of their lives.

VM- What makes some lose focus in life while others seem to have pin point focus no matter the challenge? KTR- It’s hard to stay focused in a world full of distractions, but if you have the ability to see your goals clearly and have mapped out a route to your success, then the hard times will pass. Never give up no matter what. You have to ask yourself, do I really want this and if your answer is yes then you move forward. Reaching the goal is the reward. Money and success is a bi-product of hard work. You are already feeling the pain of sacrifice, so you might as well tough it out to receive the reward. Vedere l 6

VM- When you are considering addressing groups, corporate or public, what research do you do to aide you in positioning your presentation to move them to understanding and implementing the ideas and suggestions you make? KTR- I look at the mechanics of my clients business, but honestly all good business practices are based on similar criteria. I remove the thorns in their sides with time tested focused strategies for success that produce results and peak performance. Once you understand your client, then the rest is easy to customize a presentation based upon the unique characteristics of each person in the room and the industry they are servicing. I first seek to be of service and then profit from the consultation I provide creating win-win professional keynote speaking & business training solutions.

VM- When did you recognize this to be your calling and passion? KTR- I knew very early in my life that I was going to make the entertainment business my lifelong passion that actually developed into a great experience to teach people the power of staying focused and inspiring them to achieve their goals.

VM- Was there or is there a mentor the helps you? KTR- Yes. I have had plenty of mentors who are authors, educators and many other people that have invested into my personally and professional career. My business manager/attorney Ward White IV has been one of my most trusted and valuable mentors for years. VM- What do you see the next being in the evolution of your career? KTR- Taking my message of FOCUS on a more global platform through creative avenues of social media, TV, and Radio. Vedere l 7

VM- In a sentence or 2, give us a commercial if you will, explaining why readers should visit your YouTube channel and your website. What will be their biggest take away from the experience?

KTR- The KTR experience is about having fun, learning, being inspired by the interviews I do with people on my TV & Radio Show. My focus strategies empower you with the ability to problem solve and attack your goals with force. Anything is possible when you release your dream into the universe and focus on next level success. VM- It has been great talking with you, is there anything we might have missed you would like the readers to know? KTR- Never give up on your dreams and never let a person’s opinion about you define your level of self esteem. STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS.

StellaBonds

An excting, bold, brilliant label born out of the Nations Capital

By Alyssa C

http://alyssacmakeupartist.wix.com/site-2?ref=nf

VM - Where are you from? SB - I AM FROM BOGOTA COLOMBIA VM - How long have you been in the USA? SB - I HAVE BEEN IN USA FOR 26 YEARS VM - How long have you been in the Fashion Industry? SB - I DESIRED TO BECOME PART OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY 7 YEARS AGO. MY BACKGROUND IS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER

VM - How did you get your start in the industry? SB - I BELIEVE IT WAS DESTINY6 I

DESIRED TO IMPRESS A BOYFRIEND AT THE TIME BY MAKING HIM A SHIRT AFTER JUST COMING FROM SPAIN WITH A CERTIFICATION AS A SHOE DESIGNER. HE LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT

HE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A BOUTIQUE AND SEE IF THEY WOULD BUY IT. WE DID AND THEY PLACED AN ORDER RIGHT AWAY6BY THE TIME WE DID NOT HAVE A NAME SO THE OWNER OF THE BOUTIQUE MARRIED US AT THE SPOT. HE USED MY FIRST NAME, Stella AND HIS LAST NAME Bonds AND THAT IS HOW StellaBonds WAS BORN.

VM - What designer inspires you? SB - MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS ARE

TWO: CHANEL & VALENTINO. CHANEL BECAUSE HER UNDERSTANDING OF A WOMAN BODY’s, ELEGANCE, CONFORTABILITY AND GLAMOUR STILL CHALLENGE ANY DESIGNER TODAY. VALENTINO BECAUSE IS A MAN WHO STILL SEW HIS MASTER PIECES BY HAND AND CARRIES THE BEAUTY AND SOFTNESS OF A WOMAN

Vedere l 28

VM - What is your favorite piece of clothing on create? SB - I LIKE TO MAKE DRESSES AND SKIRTS AS MY FAVORITE PIECES

VM - If you could work with any designer who would it be? SB - VALENTINO VM - Whats your favorite Fashion Magazine? SB - VOGUE & W MAGAZINE VM - What type of Fashion Look does not impress you? SB - URBAN FASHION. IT IS YOU DRESS AS YOU CAN INSTATE OF DRESS TO IMPRESS

VM - Whats your favorite kind of fabric to work with and why? SB - HARD TO SAY. FABRICS HAVE

THEIR OWN PERSONALITY AND IT ALL DEPENDS IN THE DESIGN AND HOW YOU WILL USE IT AT THE MOMENT. SKILL IS BEAUTIFUL BUT DELICATE AND DIFICULT TO WORK WITH BECAUSE IT IS VERY CAPRICIOUS. WOOL IS HEAVY AND STRONG IN PERSONALITY, THEREFORE IT HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN6

VM - Do you have Fashion Team? If yes how many and what are their roles? SB - I DO. IT CONSIST OF A

SEAMSTRESS: SHE WORKS IN REPRODUCING MY FIRST PIECE WHICH I ALWAYS MADE MYSELF. 2 ASSISTANTS: THEY ARE ALWAYS HELPING WITH FASHION SHOWS FROM GLUEING FLORES, PUTTING BUTTOMS, CRAFTING WINDS, ETC. 2 MUAS: THEY ARE WORKING IN THE THEME OF THE SHOW AS IT DEVELOPS TO MAKE

SURE MAKE UP IS COORDINATED WITH THE LOOKS. HAIR DRESSER: I AM LUCKY TO HAVE Dennis Roche FROM THE ROCHE SALON. HE REALLY UNDERSTANT MY VISION OF HOW IMPORTANT IS TO SEARCH AND PLAN IN ADVANCE A HAIR’S LOOK THAT CORRESPONDE TO THE SHOW. 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS: THEY ARE ALWAYS READY TO TAKE THOSE IMPORTANT PHOTOS OF THE COLLECTION PIECES BEFORE AND AFTER THE SHOW.

VM - What is your favorite food? SB - I LOVE GOOD FOOD..BUT I ALSO LOVE MEAT & DESSERTS6 I HAVE A SWEET TOOTH .

VM - Whats do you do on your time off work? SB - I DANCE AS MUCH AS I CAN. I

LOVE MUSIC. IT IS IN MY BLOOD AS FASHION IS IN MY MIND

VM - What advice would you give for a new Fashion Designer? SB - I BELIEVE IN DOING THINGS RIGHT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. FASHION IS AN STATE OF MIND TO MANY. FASHION IS A WAY OF LIFE. FASHION IS AN ESCAPE OF THOUGHTS. FASHION IS HAPPINESS CONDENSED IN A GARMENT THAT MAKES YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE SPECIAL. THEREFORE A NEW DESIGNER NEEDS TO BE REAL WITH THE ART OF MAKING CLOTHES AS HE/SHE PERCIVES IT BUT KEEPING IN MIND THAT FASHION SHOULD ALWAYS ACCENTUATE THE BEAUTY WE ALL CARRIED IN OUR BODIES.

Fashionably Pioneering

By Christina Moreno

Vedere l 51

Fashionably Pioneering Cowboy boots, levis jeans, and turquoise bolo tie..oh my! I am not talking about backstage wardrobe for a classic country video nor my grandfather’s closet. In fact, Arizona has come a long way from 1 971 where the bolo tie was declared the official state neckwear. Phoenix designers are giving a forward fashion push to the Southwest where western wear has been culturally and traditionally defined but it’s not all that the city has to offer. Local fashion and its culture have taken a twist for what the typical Phoenician may have seen many years ago. Productions, runway shows, new traditions, and who’s who is shaping how the Southwest is viewing fashion. Fashion designer, Trenell Floyd, explains how his grass roots production is adding fashion and awareness to a state that some may call “behind” in fashion time. The vision of his clothing line comes from love; pure, simple, authentic pieces that he creates on silkscreen. He works over 40 hours a week hand producing his t-shirt line. “Deeds of Love has a simple concept behind it, it’s a love conscious apparel that donates half of its profits to charity” explains Mr. Floyd. A transplant from Los Angeles he states that Phoenix has a small fashion scene, but the small scene has given him an opportunity to grow and become a prevalent part in the fashion community, becoming an overnight local fashion celebrity that he doesn’t credit himself to be. Still, the fashion scene in Phoenix is a major deal for designers; runway shows, events, and parties all play a significant role to profit and expand in the community. It may not be apparent to those that don’t follow fashion but in the world of Phoenix fashion, culture is very much seen and is a way of life. Most fashion has been called wearable art that expresses the views and ideas of the designer. So many details are in the design and are apparent when a runway show is put on. Makeup artists are able to be creative by using

their palette of beautiful colors and designs on a model. Hair stylists are able to create hair that can tell a story and emphasize a look and mood. When all pieced together with music and atmosphere the “look” comes alive, no words are necessary just pure vision and listening creativeness. Culture and identity in the local fashion industry is being showcased among the group from shows at the W hotel to local cafes Phoenix seems to be on the fashion scene in every corner. And on every corner, one issue that is at hand is the repeat designer offenders, who although I dearly love, seem to carry on shows every other week. Where variety is the key, overexposure may sometimes become stale to the audiences visual palette making for unnecessary fashion news. Ahh, but in due time these talented and inspiring designers will transition into season veterans making my last comment obsolete. With good intentions each and every contributor from bloggers, photographers, models, buyers and stylists all play a significant role in creating and exposing local fashion. And it doesn’t stop there local celebrities have also been seen sporting trendy local T’s and signature wear all in the name of local pride and support. Our fashion culture is not based on what was but what is. Looking towards the future and embracing the past is what is going to make this tight knit community successful. And as trends tend to come back, maybe just maybe I’ll buy a bolo tie. About Christina Moreno Christina is a mother of a beautiful daughter and both of them are true fashionistas. In their spare time you'll find them in local boutiques finding the perfect fashions. If you see Christina at one of the many events she attends make sure to say hi!

Dres Henri

Fashion Illustrator

Vedere l 53

Everyone outside of the fashion industry bubble wants to know what goes on behind the scenes.I'm always often asked what really inspires 'Dres Henri's illustrations.Inthis latest illustration feature 'Henri' will try to satisfy your curiosity. As a young child 'Henri' was more interested sitting in front of the television screen watching Australian artist 'Rolf Harris' then getting dirty in the park playing football with his neighbourhood friends. Studying how the artistic master brought a plain piece of paper to life with colour, expressions & fine lines. Also sharing notes on how to be a better artist. Those simple words of wisdom molded 'Henri' into a fresh minded young artist that seems to find inspiration & ideas from the most natural elements. Elements such as watching nature/wildlife documentaries, storing mental colour palettes from the air,sea & land. Taking easy strolls along high streets & looking through shop windows to check out the latest high street trends. Then after all that 'Henri' still manages to get comfortable at local or oversees fashion shows. These natural elements of inspiration along with paying cruical attension to detail & his love for modern art has helped Henri' to showcase some wonderfully modern & classical chic hand-drawn illustrations. Alyssa Sky Images By: Jim Johnson 602Photo.com

I started out as a child, just like any normal human being would. I used to dance, sing, and I would perform for home-made videos my mom recorded on VHS. I started piano lessons taught by a nun at a catholic school in Kentucky when I was 5 years old and I hated them! Practicing was the last thing I wanted to do when I got home from school. Like any active child, I wanted to go out and play or draw or paint. My dad was in the army, so he got stationed in Arizona. Soon after moving to Arizona, I learned how to play the flute in band and joined choir, as well. I continued with the two into high school. My piano teacher moved away somewhere in between there, so I advanced by teaching myself to play songs from a music book by Vanessa Carlton. I wrote my first song on piano when I was 1 4 years old. From there, I proceeded to write music as much as I could as a creative outlet. My music education continued through senior year with Marching Band, Honor Band, Show Band, Choir, and AP Music theory. During the summer after high school, I taught myself how to play the guitar. I attended The University of Arizona for a year where I studied opera. For fun every now and then, I did modeling as a creative outlet. I still do, but I'm starting to take it a bit more seriously and do it a lot more often. When I decided that I wasn’t happy in Tucson any more, I moved onto ASU to tear up the city of Tempe. From there I went to Scottsdale and got a one bedroom apartment. And that’s where I currently reside, hanging out with my dog, working two jobs, modeling, and gigging around town with my guitar and piano. I have been an avid photographer for longer than I want to admit to. Photography to me is a way for me to bring the images in my minds eye to life. This is something that I do for the sheer enjoyment of it. I enjoy watching the reactions of people when they see what I have created for them. I get a thrill every time I see one of my photos in someone’s home, website, publication, portfolio or business. I try to capture a bit of the personality of each person I photograph. The look of wonder in a Child’s eye, the mischievous grin of a teen prankster, the beauty in a spouse’s eye and the broad faced grin of someone truly enjoying the moment are some of the things that I try to capture. Megan Photography by Randy Zalewski Vedere l 59

Every so often a new face comes along, and something magical happens. Photographers celebrate when meeting a camera-friendly model like Megan, who is all of sixteen years old. From the great state of Ohio, this aspiring model begins her junior year in High School, keeping busy with Spanish Club, community service, and as an athletic trainer. Megan loves hanging with her friends, texting, and you guessed it, professional modeling. This meat and potatoes girl puts quality family time ahead of everything else; and they are her encouragement to be the best person possible. Aspirations to attend college in addition to pursuing a modeling career, are part of Megan's future plans. She has her ducks in a row, setting her sights on promotions, print work, and video production. Just try to get Megan's attention when she's listening to her headphones and playing with her pets, but when attending a photo-shoot, she is all business. Keep your eye out for Megan, this supermodel is now behind the wheel of an automobile, and it looks like she is going places! Megan's manager and Mom! jly1 992@embarqmail.com
