Dear Summittians,
The last couple of years have been nothing short of eventful, and the previous quarter was no exception. There were a slew of announcements, events, and changes that were brought to the fore, as we ride the 5G wave. Summit is at the forefront of India’s 5G deployment through our myriad of services and offerings, which places us at an enviable position in the market.
India is now even looking past 5G, and into the 6G domain, with officials estimating that 6G will be the norm in the country by 2029. India is expected to have the fastest rollout of 5G in the world, and we are well underway. This is owed to the ecosystem, the government and participants working in-tandem towards the fastest 5G rollout, marking our country in a bright spot for steep economic growth. I can’t help but feel proud, as Summit Digitel sits at the centre of these infrastructure deployments in the country.
Closer to home, it was a quarter of very healthy financial results signalling strong growth for the future. We availed a seven year tie up with Export Development Canada for debt facilities.
In another strong sign of prospective growth, Our Mumbai office is currently undergoing an expansion, with new offices set to be opened in the cities of Indore and Jaipur in the near future.
On the IT front, the application ‘Summit Works’ is a roaring success. It provides a one stop solution for surveying, monitoring, auditing, reviewing, and tracking various work activities. Our digital transformation journey is also well underway, with the implementation of an automated IT service management platform, a centralised IT helpdesk for ticket logging, and remote end-user support for all Summit employees. We are also proud to announce that SAP S/4 integration has been successfully completed for Reliance for their data. Around 1.5 lakh documents have been transferred and updated. Apart from this, we have also brought in stringent processes against bribery, corruption and updated our internal systems to more advanced technologies to tackle evolving cybercrimes.
The coming quarter, and the new Financial Year, will be an exciting time, but will also require us to put our best foot forward. After all, we are one of the leading telecom infrastructure companies in the country at one of the most exciting times in telecom history!

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of the Summit Digitel team, as we are at a crucial juncture when the work that we do over the next few years will set the foundation for all future deployments in telecommunications and technology, led by 5G.
I have been fortunate to serve under many Brookfield companies over the years, and have seen the exponential growth of Summit Digitel at close quarters. It is very exciting now to be at the centre of all the action here. We are arguably laying the foundations for most future telecommunication and technology implementations, and driving the HR needs for Summit will be exciting as well as challenging.
I say exciting and challenging because the role of the CHRO has changed considerably. We as a company are now required to pay close attention to the increasing use of technology in the workplace, create a positive and engaging work environment for us and our fellow employees, and also act as change agents as we undergo considerable change in terms of processes and functions.
While the leadership works towards an effective talent management strategy, it ultimately boils down to each one of our employees to play a role as cultural stewards, and as agents of change and innovation, as we move forward into our next phase of growth.
As of now, we have already put in place a few solid practices that strengthen our cultural stand. A few of these are our Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) sessions, constant re-skilling and upskilling programs, and recognition of exceptional performers under our Summit Appreciation Thank Card processes.
Currently, the guidelines for the Annual Performance Appraisal process is underway, and we have a slew of programs and events lined up for the company. I would like to end by saying that each of us have a role to play in making Summit a company with a skilled and engaging workforce, a company that operates with integrity and ethics, is customer focused, and fosters innovation and creativity in all aspects of our professional lives.

In an exclusive interview with Tele.Net, Dhananjay explained in detail the prominent role that Summit Digitel will play in the upcoming 5G wave
“Many infrastructure players have already begun exploring new opportunities by diversifying into fibre, smart cities and small cells. In fact, I do consider that it is both important and practical to use street furniture in developing digital infrastructure,” says Dhananjay.
