ABOUT ME I’m Kate Skivington, 33, a culture and trends strategist, and I live here with my husband James, 33, a solicitor, and our two cats. OUR HOME We live in a three-bed Victorian mid-terraced house in Sale, Manchester. We moved here in December 2014. WHEN WE MOVED IN It was rocking the beige trend from about 10 years ago, and had way too many spotlights in the ceiling downstairs. AND NOW It’s been given a fresh look with textures and colour. I’m most proud of the bathroom, which was revamped for around £500. STYLE TIP When you jump into your first house you’re keen to slap paint on the walls, but it’s better to live in the space for a while before you spend your time and money.
