Ponce Inlet councilman remembers the time after Sept. 11 STORY ON PAGE 7
This 1998 photo of fog between the World Trade Center’s towers in hindsight almost seemed a premonition of the smoke that’d consume their tops after the terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001. Ponce Inlet Town Council member Joe Perrone was an eyewitness to the towers’ collapse. More importantly, he was an eyewitness to New York City and surrounding areas in the days, weeks and months following. Image courtesy of Benjamin Thompson by Wikimedia Commons
