If you get a million usd dollars what will be your investment strategy in using it?
What are your strengths and attributes which makes you unique in business?
I would look into Innovation and Creativity in terms of new products and services to meet the current needs. Build more schools as you won’t go wrong with Education. Who are the business people you emulate locally and internationally and why?
I am a risk taker, I always aim to add value to people whom I work with in my business and I enjoy offering unique services and programs
Strive and Tsitsi Masiyiwa because having worked with them directly I learn a lot from them and their consistency in their belief in God for anything.
What inspired you to start your business? Passion for children, passion to transform communities, people’s lives and children’s lives too.
Who are your mentors? My mentors Emmanuel Makandiwa and RuthEmmanuel Makandiwa They speak and demonstrate according to what they actually do.
Tell us how has been your journey in starting your business in summary has it been smooth or bumpy? If so how have you managed to survive? Journey has been rough, not so easy. To rise comes with it’s own challenges. In Education, it’s male dominated industry and I still thrive to rise. Have had situations where people hide or destroy your documents once they see them in these offices but such would not stop me from sending more copies until things are accomplished. I strive for results. What’s the best business advice can you give to other people in business?
What’s the funniest which happened to you in business Learning through your silliest mistakes. Placing myself at the level of toddlers since that’s part of my work too. Words of wisdom We are here on earth for a purpose and God created us in our own unique identities. Irrespective of such, we should be able to work in UNITY for a noble cause with a renewed mindset.
Know your own vision and don’t allow anyone to dictate your pace or what not to do. It’s best you try and see which option works for the growth of your business.
As we embark on our journey of change today, remember whatever you VIVIDLY imagine, ARDENTLY desire, SINCERELY believe, and ENTHUSIASTICALLY act upon, must INEVITABLY come to pass.
Grow to become a networked person. Don’t work

The day I will never forget. Composition by Ryan Muzamhindo [ grade 6 pupil]
(The Professor) group up when he sensed the tenseness in the classroom , we all smiled with relief. The bell rang again and we dashed to the ground where we hang out during breaktime. We all had different types of delicious packed food, which spread the sweet aroma everywhere when we opened our lunches to eat.
T
he sun was like a bow of fire , birds were singing harmonious songs. Flowers were blooming and there was green pastures every where .
The streets were filled with learners and facilitators going back to school. l arrived before the start time and chatted with friends , discussing about what we did during the holiday. The bell marked the beginning of the assembly. We dashed to the assembly point where we were ordered to stand in neat rows according to our grades . We sang the national anthem and the Principle gave us a welcome speech to the new year and we applauded as he left the stage . We went to our new classroom and our new facilitator promised us that we were going to work together as hard as possible and we were all geared up to learn.
Tendai one of our classmates did not have any packed lunch. Tendai’s family could not afford to give him a packed lunch therefore he only ate at home. Tendai sat sadly alone like a lost lamb and we felt pity when we looked at him, we all share our lunches with him and we all gave him a portion of our food. He was so happy and on that day he ate like a king. We played invasion games like basketball , net ball and we all went for swimming after the games. The day went on swiftly and the sunset gave us a sign that it was going home time, and we bid each other goodbye as we all head to our homes in different directions. This was a day well spent, as I ran home, I could only think of holiday stories we had shared with my friends, and l laughed to myself as a woman stared at me in surprise, “are you ok son”,she asked. “Yes Ma’am Iam”, as I waved at her still laughing.
After some time our teacher wrote some challenging questions on the board and everyone started scratching their heads in total confusion. Fortunately , the teacher quickly asked us to

How did you start, what I spired you to be a musician? I lost my mother at the tender age of 7 in a car accident. I was badly hurt in the car accident as well. It was a traumatic experience and to get through the physical and emotional pain, my grandmother would sing hymns to me in hospital and every morning and night until I healed. I developed a close relationship with God and throughout my childhood I would write songs to God and sing them to myself. In high school I joined the choir and developed my singing there. At 23 I joined the praise and worship team and started my singing career from there onwards.

Words of wisdom to women in the Arts Industry and women in general. Never compromise on excellence as your product speaks a lot about the kind of person you are. Do not do anything only for the sake of getting approval from people. You may not get that approval and it will break your heart. Instead work only for God’s approval, do your best, make sure it is excellently done and then leave it all in God’s hands. You will see how far God will take your blessed product.

Enough , the movie such as film can be used to help people be aware of such social ills and ENOUGH aims to show that through visual means. It is also meant to revive or re-create the necessity of films like this in society, especially with local films becoming less relevant each day, month and year in Zimbabwe, where the society has switched a huge percentage of their focus on foreign (Hollywood) movies, TV shows and such.
E
NOUGH is basically a short film based on the themes of gender based violence, alcohol and drug abuse amongst other sub-themes that may come from within these two. The film is about a man who struggles with alchohol and drug abuse, challenges that lead him being involved in domestic violence. Along the film, we get to explore what these social ills do to individuals in society, either directly or indirectly to those involved with them be it family, relatives or friends. During the phase of the film, we get to see the man in different aspects, the normal version of him trying hard to make a living without the use of drugs and alchohol, and the other version of him being influenced by these. The film gives room to create a much bigger project as in a television series, which will enable the exploration of more character formats and the under-themes not clearly shown in this short film. The project is meant to mostly EDUCATE people about Gender based Violence and the dangers of Alcohol and drug abuse in all forms and the possible solutions. This short film aims to achieve this by becoming popular to not only the ordinary populace, but also to professionals who deal with such issues daily in an effort to eradicate or help those involved. To an extent, it is also meant to search for and explore talent for film in Zimbabwe, make filmmaking be seen as attractive to produce, create a meme and ability of having to tell powerful stories that capture the hearts and minds of the population, educating each other on various so-
cial ills and opportunities. The film is the production of 100films, Vision and Hope Foundation, Chishamiso Children Trust Care, Girlz Have Voices Filmz and Filmfarmers Studios. It was Directed by Martin Matamba and written by Martin Matamba and Tatenda Charles Munyuki. The film is now available on youtube

MADZIMAI CORNER Greetings, greetings Welcome to the hot Seat! “Madzimai Corner” Romance, they say is a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. Now love, is a universal concept or truth which every single human being believes, African men inclusive. The major concern is do African men attach or show such a feeling of mystery and excitement “ to the love that they already believe in? Below is feedback we got from different people on our last month topic “ Are African men romantic?” Feedbacks (1) “Iam strongly persuaded that African men are romantic but they just don’t know how to go about it”. M.K ( Joburg SA) (2) “African women should be more realistic when it comes to the issue of romance instead of comparing the romance they see in tele- novellas and movies. They should also focus on building that romance they want in their relationships”. S.B (Karoi Zim)
The hard thing I have seen in African people is the ability to admit that they don’t know and can learn. Being romantic is not something you are born with but you can learn and develop it. X.L (Germany) (7) Some African men may have lived in hostile homes where women didn’t need to be shown public affection by their husband. The lack of a role model in the home could also be a negative factor which triggered this. R.R (Harare) (8) If a man did not witness his father holding his mother’s hand in public or kissing on the lips, they are likely to repeat the same behavior. You will hear statements like, ‘my father never kissed my mother, it is uncultured , how can you do such a thing?’ B.B (Harare) (9) This might surprise you but a lot of African married men do not have experience in dealing with women. It could have been his first girlfriend, and nobody taught him how to treat a women. You will see this pattern a lot because they will say things like ‘I don’t know how to do that, I have never had a wife before”. T.M (Pretoria SA)
( 3) African man concentrate more on building homes for their wives and children thereby providing a long term protection instead of buying gifts for their women”. D.V (Masvingo) (4) African men mostly grew up seeing their mothers being controlled by their fathers and also treated with much more importance in the area of education more than women. So the ‘Man- of- house’ mantra or should I say dogma is something the African man is grappling with in the 21st century when the African woman has become aware and needs romance in her love life”. T.B (Zambia) (5) “Women tend to view romance as a state of being, while men tend to look at it more as a sequence of specific actions. Women share their emotions with greater ease”. G. H (Hwange) (6)
www.viciouscollections.co.zw
Thank you for your feedbacks, keep them coming, we believe that someone somewhere is being enlightened, educated, inspired and motivated. I believe romance is built, not earned. A long lasting, peaceful and understanding relationship is the most romantic in my view as an African. Let us collaborate and build one.
Our next month “HOT TOPIC” is “What turns a woman on?”

Myths and misconception about women’s health MYTH= BRAS CAUSE BREAST CANCER? Article by Doc JEMEDZE
S
omeone might have told you that wearing a bra especially at bed time cause breast cancer? I have good news for you: Wearing a bra does not cause breast cancer. So, what can you do to lower your chances of getting breast cancer? Stay a healthy weight and avoid alcohol. Women who are obese or drink a lot of alcohol have a higher chance of developing breast cancer. Routine self-breast examination helps in early detection of breast lumps and treatment can be started early. Getting a mammogram every year after you turn 45 is a proven way to detect breast cancer early and stop it from spreading. Myth- There’s nothing I can do to prevent cancer. Fact- Luckily, having a healthy lifestyle and getting regular cancer screenings can help prevent some of the most common types of cancer. For example, Pap smears /VIAC and colonoscopies help doctors find and remove pre-cancerous cells in your cervix and colon—two very common types of cancer. How can I prevent cancer? Keeping off extra weight can help prevent cancer. Pap smears/VIAC from the age of 25 years or within 3 years of onset of sexual debut. Stay at a healthy weight and have regular cancer screenings to lower your chance of developing cancer. You should also get a Pap smear every three years if you’re between 21 and 29 years old. If you’re between 30 and 64-years-old, you should get a Pap smear every five years combined with a test for human papillomavirus (HPV), which is a type of disease you can get from having sex. Myths about contraception Myth: If a man withdraws before ejaculation you won’t become pregnant Fact: This so-called ‘withdrawal method’ is not an effective method of contraception. This is because it’s still possible for sperm to be present at the tip of the penis before ejaculation, which can result in a pregnancy. Myth: You can’t get pregnant if you have sex during your period Fact: Despite many women believing this is a ‘safe’ time to have sex without the risk of getting pregnant, it may not be. Ovulation can take place earlier than expected. Also, as sperm may live in a woman’s body for some days it may be possible to conceive several days after unprotected sex if you ovulate early. Myth: Long-term use of contraceptive can make it harder to get pregnant Fact: Once women stop using contraception their periods and fertility will usually soon return to what is normal for them. Exceptions include:

VICIOUS COLLECTIONS MAGAZINE | Issue 05
• The Depo-Provera- it can take up to 12-18 months for the hormones to leave your body and for your fertility to be fully restored hence not advisable for first time mothers of those who do not have kids. • bilateral tubal ligation which is intended to be permanent. Myth: Taking brown family planning pills will cause one to bleed or have a miscarriage. Fact: When taking combined oral contraceptive (white and brown). White pills are the active pills (contain hormones) and the brown pills are not active (contain iron). So, when one stops taking the active pills, they experience withdrawal bleeding which is meant to coincide with the brown iron tablets to supplement the blood loss and as a placebo to serve as a reminder as to when to restart the next packet. Since its only iron in brown pills it will not cause a miscarriage. Myth: You can’t get pregnant if you are breastfeeding Fact: Many unplanned pregnancies happen in the first few months after childbirth. Breastfeeding exclusively (without supplementing with formula or food) can stop you from ovulating, but even though there’s a dip in your fertility at this time, breastfeeding is not a reliable contraception method - it’s much safer to arrange other forms of contraception after giving birth. MYTHS ABOUT CONCEPTION Myth: I think I have until 40 to get pregnant after all menopause average age is 51 years. Fact: According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, by age 40, a woman’s chances of getting pregnant are less than five percent per cycle. There are many factors which include alcohol intake, smoking, and caffeine consumption, as well as conditions such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome—that affect your fertility. Therefore, making any decisions on your life based on when your sisters conceived may not be wise. If you want to see how your fertility is faring, talk to your doctor, not your mom. MYTH :- Only have sex when you ovulate on Day 14. Being early is always good—especially when you’re trying to get pregnant. Start having sex a few days before ovulation (Day 11). Sperms are pretty patient and determined, and the winning dude will hang out in your cervix for 72 hours to be ready for the descending egg. If you wait until your basal temperature is elevated, you will have already ovulated and may have missed the window—an egg only survives for 18 to 48 hours after being released. Find out when you’re ovulating by using a cycle tracker or calculator or by keeping a calendar. MYTHS ABOUT SEX Myth: I’m Not Interested in Sex. Something Must Be Wrong with Me. Having a low sex drive, sometimes called hypoactive sexual desire, affects many women. Hormone changes and stress can affect how often (and if) you want to have sex. But the truth is, there’s “right” amount of sex you should be having. If you want to be in the mood more often, a doctor can help you determine if medications or lifestyle changes can boost your desire. Myth: If I Don’t Have Any Symptoms, I Must Not Have a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI). Many sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including gonorrhoea and HPV can have no symptoms. Three in four women will have no symptoms for chlamydia. If you’ve had unprotected sex, the best thing you can do is get yourself tested for STIs—even if you don’t think you have one. Women’s Health Services offers confidential testing for sexually transmitted infections. Know the Facts There you have it: Some of the top women’s health myths, debunked. Being your healthiest you are not so hard. Eat well, exercise, don’t smoke, and be sure to get regular cancer screenings.

Its NEVER TOO LATE TOO EARLY OR TOO LATE to work towards the healthiest you
Article by Summer Rose United kingdom It’s important to take care of our bodies because it’s the only place we have to live in It has been proven that there is a wealth of things that parents can pass on to their children. Among these things there are two items that can be easily ignored or overlooked. These are a healthy diet and exercise. Children can adapt good habits if they start early. They need to be educated about the importance of a balanced healthy diet and the need to keep their bodies fit. Parents can be the best role models to their children. Involving our children in preparing healthy meals, reading labels on food items and exercising together is invaluable. There is no better time than now to start living healthy by eating better, regular exercise, positive thinking and feeling good. When it comes to heathy eating the saying “you are what you eat” is very important and is sometimes underrated. Many a time we tend to prefer fried foods. Yes, fried foods taste good but they are loaded with oils. Sometimes this oil is reused, and this oil becomes poisonous as it changes its colour through heating and the chemical composition changes (Perumalla Venkata and Subramanyam, 2016). Boiling, baking or steaming food can be better options. In many cases people tend to shy away from whole foods and go for processed refined whiter foods. Whole foods are heathier as they are higher in fibre and other nutrients (vitamins and minerals) for example our staple food sadza. If it is cooked from refined processed mealie meal, the fibre and nutritious germ have been removed. ¬¬¬A healthy balance diet consists of whole foods, fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates, healthy fats such as nuts and seeds, milk and dairy products. Healthy lifestyle can be summed up by the healthy eating pyramid put together by the department of nutrition, Harvard school of public health. The world health organisation classifies processed meats as class 1 carcinogens in the same class a tobacco, asbestos and pluto-

nium. Red meat is classified as a group 2 carcinogen. Evidence from studies has shown a correlation between the amount of red and processed red meat consumed and an increased risk of certain cancers namely bowel cancer. Hence, it is highly advisable to reduce the consumption of these food groups as much as possible (Bouvard et al., 2015). Therefore, it is important to start making positive changes to benefit your health as soon as possible, use what you have available to you and do what you can within your physical limits. Remember your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down. Mursi Tribe - Ethopia
Why do Mursi wear lip plates? Mursi women are famous for their wooden lip plates- a symbol of beauty and identity. A girl’s lower lip is cut (sometimes by her mother) when she reaches 15 or 16 years, and held open by a sodden plug untill it heals, unmarried girls, especially those with large labrets, might wear them whenever they are in public.
Besides researching about neighbouring countries’ cultures for fun and learning purposes, it is always wise to understand cultures for neighbouring countries or countries you wish to visit in the future so that when you finally visit the countries you know exactly what kind of people they are, their behaviours and character etc. This month we dig deep into the Mursi Tribe from Ethiopia.
Occasionally lip plates are worn to a dance by unmarried women, and increasingly they are worn to attract tourists tourists in order to earn extra money. Ceremonies Ceremonial duelling (thagine), a form of ritualised male violence, is highly valued and popular activity of Mursi men, especially unmarried men, and a key marker of Mursi Identity. Age sets are important political feature, where men are formed into named ‘ age sets’ and pass through a number of “age grades” during the course of their lives, married women have the same age grade status as their husbands.
The Mursi (or Mun as they refer to themselves) are Surmic ethnic group in Ethiopia. They principally reside in the Devin OmoTone of the Southern Nations , close to the border of South Sudan. The Mursi tribe speak the Mursi language as a mother tongue. The religion of Mursi is classified as Animism although some Mursi have adopted Christianity. There are serving mission station in the northeastern corner of Mursiland, which provides education, basic medical care and instruction in Christianity. The Mursi and ergo various rites of passage, educational or displinarx processes. Lip plated are a well known aspect of the Mursi and Surma, who are probably the last groups in Africa amongst whom it is still thenormfor women to wear pottery, wooden discs or plates in their lower lip How old is Mutsi Tribe? Mursi history dates somewhere between 150 to 200 years ago and is the product of various nomadic groups. Is the Mursi tribe dangerous? One of the most unusual, most aggressive tribe in the world is tribe Mursi living in a hard region of Ethiopia. “It’s better to die than live without kill-

Having a partner in school can sometimes distract you from your school work............ If you want, you can even study with your boyfriend, so long as you set boundaries for your study sessions. Balancing your romantic life with your school does not need to be difficult, as long as your boyfriend knows what to expect.
Have lunch together and spend some time together , having a conversation during meal time can be fun. Just make sure you separate again after when the meal is over! Discipline is the key. 4) Sorry girls but someone has to say it. In the battle of books vs boyfriend, the books have to win.
