ENCOURAGEMENT

WHEN GOD WAS ALL I HAD By Donna Wayles

My life shattered the day my husband smashed my face against the storm door of our apartment. His explosion ripped away every illusion that our marriage was godly and loving. When the police and paramedics arrived, they checked me out and declared my apartment a crime scene. We were not allowed to go back after the hospital released me. The police detectives insisted it was unsafe.

All I had was the clothes I was wearing and a diaper bag for my daughter. My friend told the police officers she would keep us safe, so we went to stay with her. Sunday came, and I wanted to attend church. Dirk and I had participated in church faithfully for years, but it wasn’t safe. He had told everyone I was having an affair, “living in sin.”

GOD WILL BE A FRIEND TO EVERY BROKEN WOMAN
