A formação em Arquitetura pela Universidade de São Paulo, em 1988, foi definitiva na carreira profissional de Fernanda Marques: potencializou seus sonhos, aptidões, habilidades. The architecture degree from São Paulo University in 1988 was definitive for Fernanda Marques’ professional career: it potentialized her dreams, gifts and skills. The functionality, the rational design and pure lines that defined Bauhaus – the German school that launched the basis for 20th century design – are important references in her projects. Malibu Um projeto que fugisse do óbvio, baseado em soluções inovadoras e alta tecnologia – era isso o que desejava o proprietário desta cobertura duplex de 800 m2 de área, em São Paulo, SP. Atendendo a essas exigências, o partido proposto alocou e valorizou os espaços sociais no piso inferior, promovendo a maior integração possível entre seus ambientes. Neste sentido, a cozinha gourmet foi aberta para a sala de jantar. A escada e a caixa do elevador, responsáveis pela comunicação entre os pisos, foram desenhados em vidro, com o objetivo de integrar o living ao home theater e à área externa. No centro das atenções, uma arrojada piscina em vidro. Já o piso superior recebeu a suíte master, um outro home theater, uma sala de fitness e as demais suítes. O arrojado projeto de interiores foi composto por peças únicas, nas quais se sobressaem materiais como couro, veludo, metal e vidro. Seguindo o projeto arquitetônico, foram selecionados móveis proporcionais à generosidade dos espaços, contemporâneo e tecnológicos. Alguns dos móveis foram adquiridos em leilões, caso da poltrona dos Irmãos Campana e do sofá em aço inox curvado, do designer inglês Ron Arad. A project that stretched the obvious based on innovating and cutting edge solutions – that is what the owner of this 800 square meters duplex penthouse in São Paulo, SP, expected. Answering to his demands, the proposition allocated and valued the social areas in the lower level, promoting as much integration as possible among its environments. Therefore, the gourmet kitchen opens to the dining room. The stairs and the elevator box, responsible for connecting the floors, were designed in glass in order to integrate the living room to the home theater and outside area. Center stage is a bold swimming pool made of glass. The upper floor has the master suite, another home theater, a fitness center and the remaining suites. The audacious interior design project consists of unique pieces, highlighted by materials such as leather, velvet, metal and glass. According to the architectural project, the selection of furniture followed the generosity of space, contemporary and technological. Some of the pieces of furniture were purchased at auctions, as the case of the Campana brothers’ armchair and the curved stainless steel sofa from the English designer Ron Arad.

Na área social, a exclusividade do mobiliário de design é ressaltada pela iluminação natural e pelo uso de materiais especiais, como o limestone persiano aplicado no piso. In the social area, the exclusive furniture design is emphasized by the natural lighting and by the use of special materials such as Persian limestone applied to the floor.

Acima, destaque para a generosa sala de jantar com capacidade para 14 pessoas. Ă&#x20AC; esquerda, vista do living com amplos panos de vidro que inundam o ambiente de luz natural. Ă&#x20AC; direita, em busca de limpeza e transparĂŞncia, a caixa do elevador e a escada foram concebidas em vidro. Above, the highlight is the spacious dining room that sits 14 people. On the left, view of the living with broad glass panes that allow a flood of natural light into the indoor environment. On the right, in the pursuit of cleanliness and transparency, the elevator box and the stairs were made of glass.

À esquerda e abaixo, além do indispensável conforto proposto pelo mobiliário, o home theater do pavimento inferior recebeu doses extras de tecnologia, com direito a um vídeo wall touch screen de aproximadamente seis metros lineares. On the left and below, besides the essential comfort brought by the furniture, the home theater in the lower level has received extra shots of technology, with a video wall touchscreen of approximately six linear meters.

Acima, no home theater, poltrona em arame desenhada pelos Irmãos Campana. À esquerda, valorizando a iluminação natural, no terraço externo foi proposta uma cobertura metálica com vidro, retrátil e automatizada. À direita, centro das atenções do projeto, a piscina é formada por uma caixa de vidro, o que exigiu inúmeros estudos de superestrutura, com redimensionamento de carga sobre a laje. Above, in the home theater, a wire armchair designed by the Campana Brothers. On the left, appreciating the natural light, an automated, retractile metallic and glass cover has been suggested for the balcony. On the right, center stage, the swimming pool consists of a glass box, which demanded a number of studies in superstructures and resizing loads over the slab.

À esquerda, no piso superior uma passarela de vidro, sustentada por uma estrutura metálica revestida em aço inox, é o ponto de partida, ou de chegada, da escada também em vidro que interliga os dois pavimentos. Acima, no segundo home theater, localizado no piso superior, a madeira surge como contraponto ao uso do vidro e metal da passarela.

On the left, on the upper lever a glass walkway, supported by a metallic structure coated in stainless steel, is the starting or exit point from the stairs, also made of glass that connects both levels. Above, on the second home theater, located on the upper level, the wood becomes a counterpoint to the use of glass and metal in the walkway.

Acima, ampliado, o banho master foi transformado numa generosa sala de banho com vista para a piscina. À esquerda, o arrojado espaço para fitness, localizado no segundo piso, conta com forro de tensoflex, que proporciona luz homogênea e bem distribuída. À direita, a suíte master foi privilegiada em sua localização, com direito a vista para a piscina. Above, expanded, the master bath has been transformed into a spacious bathroom with swimming pool view. On the left, the bold space reserved for fitness in the second level has a tensoflex ceiling, which provides well-distributed lighting. On the right, the master bedroom has a privileged location with a view of the swimming pool.

No design de linhas geométricas da cozinha, a tecnologia e sofisticação são pontos altos, com merecido destaque para a iluminação minimalista e para os acabamentos em madeira. In the kitchen’s geometric line design, the technology and sophistication stand out, highlighting the minimalist lighting and the wood finish.

Laranjeiras Construída em um condomínio fechado, localizado no litoral sul do Rio de Janeiro, esta residência teve o seu partido arquitetônico definido pela beleza natural de seu entorno: um dos recortes de litoral mais bonitos do Brasil. Tanto por suas características técnicas quanto pela liberdade de desenho que propicia, o aço foi o material escolhido para a estruturação da casa. Aparecendo, no entanto, revestido de madeira, artifício utilizado para protegê-lo da maresia e torná-lo mais familiar à natureza verdejante da Mata Atlântica. Para propor a máxima integração entre as áreas internas e externas, grandes caixilhos de vidro foram utilizados como fechamento, permitindo praticamente a todos os cômodos da casa uma franca interação com a paisagem. Para contrabalançar a utilização da madeira, elemento fundamental na conformação estética do projeto, os interiores foram pensados com acentuada ênfase ao diálogo entre materiais e entre o rústico e o moderno. Built in a closed off condominium in the south coast of Rio de Janeiro, this residence had its architectural design defined by the natural beauty of its surroundings: one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Brazil. Steel was the chosen material for the structure of the house due to its technical characteristics and for the design freedom it offers. However, it is featured with a wood covering. This artifice is used to shield it from the corrosive sea air and make it more familiar to the greenery of the Atlantic Rain Forest. To guarantee maximum integration between the internal and external areas, great glass frames were used as closures, allowing practically all rooms to be fully integrated with the landscape. To balance out the use of wood, which is an essential element in the aesthetic conformation of the design, the interiors were planned with great emphasis to the dialogue between materials and between the rustic and the modern.

The well-defined lines of the architectural project gained softness with materials such as wood and glass that were used in coverings and closures.

À esquerda, a varanda totalmente aberta permite uma privilegiada vista da piscina, tendo a praia do condomínio como pano de fundo. Acima, entrada principal da residência com destaque para o treliçado de madeira revestindo as paredes. À direita, jardim interno com amplos caixilhos de vidro fazendo a comunicação entre as áreas internas e externas. To the left, the fully opened porch allows for a privileged view of the pool, with the beach as a backdrop. Above, the house’s main entrance with highlight to the wooden trellises covering the walls. To the right, indoor garden with great glass frames grant communication between internal and external areas.

Acima, com pé-direito duplo e projetado como uma enorme caixa de aço e vidro, um dos ambientes de living pode fazer as vezes de ambiente interno ou externo. À direita, a sala de jantar funciona como um espaço articulador entre o living e a varanda, que dá acesso à piscina. Above, with a double-height ceiling as an enormous steel and glass box, one of the living room can be an internal or external area. To the right, the dining room serves as a communication space between the living room and the porch, which grants access to the pool.

À esquerda, o espelho no lavabo tem a função de ampliar o espaço. Acima, escada externa de acesso à parte íntima da casa, localizada no piso superior. À direita, em busca da privacidade ideal para a exibição de filmes, o home theater recebeu especial tratamento de iluminação e acústica.

To the left, the mirror in the washroom is meant to amplify the space. Above, external staircase grants access to the family quarters of the house on the top floor. To the right, the home theater received a special treatment for lighting and acoustics in order to grant privacy when playing movies.

À esquerda, abaixo, a suíte do casal também com acesso privilegiado à área externa; acima, em todos os dormitórios a iluminação natural é garantida pelas grandes janelas de vidro. Abaixo, a suíte master com sua cinematográfica vista para o Oceano Atlântico. To the left, below, the master suite also has privileged access to the external area; above, natural lighting is guaranteed in all rooms through great glass windows. Diogo Jacome Os tons sóbrios dos revestimentos e o contraste entre os materiais utilizados proporcionam a este apartamento de 200 m2 a exata atmosfera, de contornos masculinos, pretendida por seu proprietário. Um dos grandes atrativos do projeto, o pé-direito duplo é responsável pela arejada integração entre cozinha, estar e jantar, estrategicamente interrompido por um forro suspenso de madeira, que cria um efeito intimista. Para contrabalançar o piso frio, tipo limestone, da área de convivência foram especificados revestimentos em madeira e vidros na cor chocolate, além de móveis revestidos por tecidos em tons rebaixados. The sober colors of the coverings and the contrast between the used materials provide this 200 square meter apartment with the exact atmosphere, with masculine characteristics, intended by its owner. One of the great appeals of the project, the double ceiling height, is responsible for the ventilated integration between the kitchen, the living and the dining room. In the dining room, it is strategically interrupted by a suspended wooden ceiling, which creates an intimate effect. In order to counterbalance the limestone flooring in the living area, coverings in wood and chocolate-colored glass panes were specified, in addition to pieces of furniture lined in lower shaded fabrics.

The double ceiling height in the social area allowed an elegant integration between the ambiences, in addition to the excellent conditions of lighting and ventilation.

Na página ao lado, por meio da criação de um forro suspenso de madeira, uma simples demarcação aérea insinua o ambiente convidativo da sala de jantar. On the opposite page, by means of a suspended wooden ceiling, a mere aerial demarcation insinuates the inviting atmosphere of the dining room.

Para a suíte master, abaixo, a atmosfera de sobriedade e conforto permanece, mas o que prevalece são os tons claros dos móveis e tecidos . Ao lado, as dimensões e composição do home office seguiram as formas alongadas do espaço; abaixo, espelhos e materiais claros são valorizados pela iluminação na suíte do casal. For the master suite, below, the atmosphere of sobriety and comfort is still present, but the light colors of the pieces of furniture and fabrics stand out. At the side, the dimensions and composition of the home office were created to fit in the elongated shape of the space; below, mirrors and light-colored materials are valued by the lighting in the couple’s suite.

Ermenegildo Zegna Intervir em um projeto assinado pelo genial Vilanova Artigas, um dos grandes nomes da arquitetura moderna brasileira, foi o principal desafio deste projeto. Por se tratar de imóvel tombado, as restrições técnicas constituíram relevantes obstáculos a serem superados, em face do novo programa – sede corporativa de uma importante grife internacional. Não perder a conexão com o projeto inicial foi um objetivo que orientou várias das soluções adotadas, tais como o concreto mantido aparente nos tetos, o piso de resina branca que se prolonga por todos os ambientes; assim como o resgate das cores originais e a integração plena entre todos os ambientes. To intervene in a project designed by the brilliant Vilanova Artigas, one of the great names of the Brazilian modern architecture, was the main challenge of this assignment. Since the real property had been recorded as a historic site, the technical limitations to be complied with constituted important obstacles to overcome, given the new program - the corporate headquarters of a major international brand - to be executed. Not to lose the connection with the initial project was a goal that guided many of the adopted solutions, such as the concrete that remained apparent on the ceilings, the white resin floor extending to all of the areas, as well as the recovery of the original colors and the full integration between all ambiences.

A escolha do mobiliário foi orientada tanto pelo perfil arrojado do cliente, quanto pela sofisticação do estilo arquitetônico. The choice of the furniture was based on both the bold profile of the client and the sophistication of the architectural style.

Prime Licensing Design conceitual e uma dose de irreverência definem este projeto, concebido para sediar as atividades empresariais do Rei Pelé em São Paulo. Unindo a imagem desse ícone do futebol mundial à alta tecnologia, o design de interiores propõe inovação e descontração para a área do escritório. Estratégicas e essenciais, divisórias de vidro foram utilizadas como principal recurso para possibilitar integração espacial e difusão interna da iluminação natural. Ambiente-conceito, a sala de reunião, cercada por vidros curvos transparentes, foi revestida com grama sintética, reverenciando o futebol. A conceptual design and a dose of irreverence define this project, conceived to function as headquarters for the business activities of the king Pelé in São Paulo. Combining the image of that icon of the world soccer with high technology, the interior design proposes innovation and casualness for the office area. Strategic and essential, glass partitions were used as the main resource to make possible the integration of space and the internal diffusion of the natural lighting. The concept ambience, which is the meeting room, is enclosed in transparent curved glass panes and has its floor overlaid in synthetic grass, reverencing soccer.

Cozinha Lounge (2009) Concebido para a edição 2009 da mostra Boa Mesa, este projeto, denominado Cozinha e Lounge do Chef, foi criado pela arquiteta em estreita colaboração com a empresa gaúcha Todeschini. Em 194 m² de área, Fernanda apresenta uma versão, bastante peculiar, da cozinha contemporânea: um dos ambientes atualmente mais concorridos da casa. Marcadamente orgânico, o teto de madeira, construído em lâminas, é o grande destaque. Outro ponto de interesse, a bancada escultórica, desenvolvida pela Corian Dupont, chama a atenção tanto por seu traçado sinuoso como por sua multifuncionalidade, apresentando-se ora como área de trabalho para gourmet, ora como mesa, ora como banco, e por fim, como bar, até ser finalmente incorporada ao forro de madeira. This project was conceived for the 2009 Boa Mesa exhibit, which the architect in a close collaboration with Todeschini, a company from Rio Grande do Sul, created. On a 194 square meters area, Fernanda presented a very peculiar version of the contemporary kitchen: one of the most sought after spaces in the show. The wooden ceiling, made of sheets is remarkably organic and is the great highlight of the project. Another interesting point is the sculpture-like deck, developed by Corian DuPont. It draws attention for it sinuous shape and for its multi-function quality: presenting itself at times as a work bench for the chef, and at other times as a bench and other times as a bar, until it is finally incorporated to the wooden ceiling.
