Lady Hornets 12-2 District Win over East Chambers Monday night the Hardin Lady Hornets came away with a 12-2 district win over East Chambers. The Lady Hornets quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Katelyn Barker reached on an error and Autumn Thrasher walked. Whitney Kochwelp laced a
drive into the right center gap to score Barker and Thrasher. Kochwelp later scored on a RBI single by Elizabeth Hargroue. Hardin added 6 in the second frame. Maddie Sobol chopped a hard grounder up the middle for a single and advanced to
third as Morgan Sobol singled to center. They scored on another hard grounder to center by Katelyn Barker. Brittny Thompson drove in Barker with a line drive to right. Autumn Thrasher singled to put runners at 1st and 2nd. The next two batters popped out then
Elizabeth Hargroue hit a grounder up the middle to score Thompson and Thrasher. Kora Thornton then sliced a line drive to center to score Hargroue (who had stolen 2nd.) Kora Thornton kept the EC lineup off balance for 3 innings and a 10-0 lead
Wilson delivers game winning hit in Lady Broncos 5-4 win over S.C. By Jerry Michalsky Sports Editor Ravin Wilson singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Dayton Lady Broncos a 5-4 win over Summer Creek in district 19-4A action last Tuesday night at the Broncos Diamond. Down 4-1 heading into the top of the seventh inning, the Lady Bulldogs scored three runs in their last at bat off a couple of errors to bring the score to 4-apiece. Ashley McKinney started the winning rally off in the bottom half of the inning with a walk, Lindsey Harryman then walked to set up the game winning hit by Wilson. Presley Bell got the win
for Dayton on the mound. Bell allowed only three hits while striking out nine. The Lady Broncos grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning as Chelsea Hostetler reached on a leadoff double and then scored on a sacrifice fly by Bell to make it 1-0. Summer Creek used three errors in the top of the sixth inning to tie the score at 1-apiece before Dayton would score three times in the bottom half of their inning. Harryman started the inning off with a hit and after a Wilson sacrifice bunt it was Alicia Davila and Hostetler reaching on walks. Bell then followed with a two-run double to make it
4-1. Bell finished the night with three RBI’s while Wilson had two hits for the
before being pulled for Rebekah Hebert. Hebert completed 2 innings of relief work and gave up 2 runs in the 4th on a double, walk then a hard single to left.
