Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) Annual Meetings 2020 20 – 28 June 2020 Jumeirah Etihad Towers

The APAC 2020 Annual Meetings are being hosted by the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS)-United Arab Emirates and the GCC Accreditation Centre (GAC)-GCC Member States. These annual meetings provide a forum for discussion among accreditation bodies in the Asia Pacific region to harmonise accreditation practices and strengthen confidence in APAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). In conjunction with the APAC meetings, a workshop on implementing ISO/IEC 17011:2017 will take place on 21 June 2020. The aim of the workshop is to share good practices, gain ideas on how things are done in other accreditation bodies and to establish a ‘calibrated’ understanding of ISO/IEC 17011:2017 implementation. Additionally, a workshop in risk management for accreditation bodies will convene on 22 June 2020 allowing APAC Members to consider and discuss approaches to risk management, and the way a risk-based approach is adopted in the delivery of their accreditation activities.
