GOZO AS YOUR DESTINATION After cancelling months of events, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Minister for Gozo I am pleased to once again invite and encourage the public to visit Gozo. The policy of the Ministry for Gozo is to strive for the provision of tourists and tourism activities in order to attract the interest of various groups and individuals. Therefore, the Ministry for Gozo has compiled a programme of activities for the summer season commencing from July until September, so that all those visiting the island of Gozo can enjoy these events during the entire week. Apart from savouring in the local cuisine, the beautiful beaches, and the authentic Gozitan atmosphere and its culture, one can also enjoy performances showcasing local talent in an array of art forms. These activities taking place in Gozo will include a variety of concerts performed by bands next to bays as well as in the village squares. There will also be other thematic festivals in different localities where the public can enjoy the music and other types of events in a tranquil environment. Moreover, the Agricultural and Crafts Annual Exhibition which attracts numerous people of different ages will also take place. The Ministry for Gozo works to effectively, efficiently, economically and with a service excellence culture implement the regional and national strategies and policies to secure economic and social prosperity for citizens residing in Gozo within the context of the island’s unique characteristics. GUIDE This is a programme of live performances happening in Marsalforn every Monday from the 6th July until the 14th September 2020. Various spots around Marsalforn will be hosting artists who will help you shrug off your Monday blues. All live performances commence at 9.30pm. City Tuesdays will feature artists performing live at St George’s Square in Victoria every Tuesday from the 7th July until the 15th September 2020. All events start at 9.00pm. Qala Wednesdays is a programme of events happening at the Qala village square. Every Wednesday, from the 1st July up till the 16th September 2020, Qala will be hosting local performers for what promises to be a midweek treat for music lovers. All performances start at 9.00pm
The bustling Xagħra square will be hosting a programme of live entertainment every Thursday. The programme kicks off on the 2nd July and closes on the 17th September 2020. All events start at 9.30pm.
Every Friday, Mgarr Harbour will be hosting live music events, covering a broad specturm of genres. These events will be starting from the 3rd July until the 18th September 2020. A great way to kickoff your weekend! All performances start at 9.30pm. Summer in the Square is a programme of events happening in Xewkija this August, just in front of the famous Rotunda. These events include live performances as well as an International Food Festival. All live band performances start at 9.00pm.
