You can travel to Narvik without having to worry about anything more than having a good time!

The most common way to travel to Narvik is by air, but it’s also possible to travel by rail or bus. A large number of cruise ships call to Narvik annually.

BY AIR The national airport Harstad/ Narvik Airport Evenes (EVE)is located about 57 km from Narvik town center and 50 minutes by car. There are six or more daily flights from Oslo (OSL) to Evenes (EVE). Express buses to Narvik correspond to most of the flight arrivals from Oslo.

The domestic airport Bardufoss Airport (BDU) is located about 102 km from Narvik town centre and 1.5 hours by car. The airport in Kiruna (SWE) is located about 187 km from Narvik town center and ca. 2.5 hours by car.

BY TRAIN Train from Stockholm (Sweden) takes you directly to Narvik. The train ride with the night train from Stockholm to Narvik, is said to be one of the most impressive trips in all of Europe. It takes 18 hours to get through the incredible nature of middle Sweden, up to the north of Lappland and across the mountains to Norway. More information and tickets at www.vy.se

BY BUS Long-distance bus services connect Narvik with Bodø, Lofoten and Tromsø all year. Bus from Tromsø (4h) Lofoten Islands (3h 45m) Bodø (6h). BY CAR Driving in Norway is a beautiful experience and offers many scenic drives. You can get to Narvik by car via E6, Norway’s main N-S road. Or via E10 from Lofoten or Sweden.

The Arctic Route

Your next Arctic adventure is only one bus ride away!

The Arctic Route is a transportation network that operates daily bus routes during the winter time and summer time (June – August 2023) between main destinations in the Arctic. It is a safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly way of traveling to your adventures in Northern Norway, Swedish and Finnish Lapland. Travel from Tromsø to Narvik, Lyngen, Rovaniemi, Alta, and Skjervøy on a oneway, or return trip during wintertime (1st December – 31st March). During summer, our daily-operated bus route brings you between Narvik/Å and Tromsø/ Kabelvåg during summertime. Travel between East and West: from Narvik, via Evenes airport, Svolvær, Henningsvær, Hamnøy, Reine, all the way to Å, the most western village in Lofoten.

The route connects many of the entry and exit points in the Arctic Route summer area, such as the train to Sweden in Narvik, Evenes airport, the ferry to Bodø, and the Hurtigruten in Svolvær.
