Ne vedem la o bere!

Chiar [i cu micile întoarceri ale vremii, vara s-a instalat în Bucure[ti [i ora[ul s-a mai luminat. Or fi având [i frumoasele bucure[tence meritul lor, cert este c` moralul nostru e semnificativ crescut!

Iar dac` e var` [i avem mai mult timp liber bineîn]eles c` o bere cu prietenii e binevenit`.

Obiceiurile noastre revin la normal [i începem s` prefer`m întâlnirile cu prietenii în locul privitului fix în ecranul televizorului.

Terasele ora[ului stau m`rturie c` nu sunt singurul care gânde[te a[a. Afacerile duduie pentru proprietarii de astfel de „locuri de agrement”. Din terase au crescut în timp locante elegante prin tot ora[ul.

Dar nu este rolul acestor rânduri s` judece partea economic` a lucrurilor.

Eu doar încerc s` m` bucur, al`turi de zecile de mii de bucure[teni, c` putem s` ne întâlnim cu prietenii la o bere.

M` bucur c` tinerii sunt [i ei pe terase, preferându-le în locul s`lilor de jocuri pe calculator, jocuri „mecanice”... La terase se face [i se desface acum aproape totul – politic`, inter-sezonul fotbalistic, afaceri mai mici sau mai mari, iubiri

de-o var` [i iubiri de-o via]`...

Avem - n-avem bani s` mergem la mare, la munte sau în insule, pentru o bere la teras` g`sim fondurile necesare, la noi în buzunar sau la prieteni. C` d-aia sunt prietenii, s` dea [i ei o bere! Nu te pui cu obiceiurile bucure[tenului. Dac` n-a apucat s`-[i ia [i iubita cu el, o uit` la o bere cu prietenii. Din punctul `sta de vedere întâlnirile la

teras` sunt de toate felurile, [i uni- [i bi-sexuale, problema e c` vine ea, iubita, dup` tine, dac`

vrea s` te recupereze iinttegrall [ii numai pentru ea! Fiind doritori atât de mul]i de terase [i de-o bere a ap`rut iat` [i „enclava” teraselor bucure[tene – Centrul vechi al Bucure[tiului.

Cine nu are deschis înc` un loc pe Selari, Smârdan, Lipscani, Gabroveni... aproape c` nu exist` în restaura] ia Capitalei. To]i [i-au deschis „filiale” sim]ind afacerea... Iar în ceea ce prive[te consumatorii, dac` nu te afi[ezi prin Centrul vechi, iar nu exi[ti! Doroban]iul a devenit old-fashion, terasele cu înghesuiala [i viermuiala din centrul vechi ne cheam` acum.

Vin unii [i cu motoarele la expozi]ie, avantajul de a trece pe dou` ro] i de barierele puse pentru automobile!

Deh, expunem tot ceea ce putem!

Dar deja îmi plou` în gur` [i sun` prietenii dup` mine. Eu v-am l`sat, ne vedem la o bere!

New President for “Brewers of Romania” Hezy Ovadia is the new president of the „Brewers of Romania” Association. President of URBB starting with January 2011, Hezy Ovadia took over the position within the Association from Jan Derck van Karnebeek, Managing Director of Heineken Romania, who was the President in office since March 2010.

the year when the beer sales volume reached a maximum quota of 20.2 million hectoliters.

Beer consumption per capita in 2010 recorded a value of 78 liters, continuing the descending trend started in 2009 and proving the fact that the economic situation has affected consumers and their consumption habits.

The beer producers members of “Brewers of Romania” Association – Bergenbier, Heineken Romania, Romaqua Group, United Romanian Breweries and Ursus Breweries - despite the difficult situation, have invested 51 million Euros last year and the contribution to the state budget through various taxes (excise, VAT, personal taxes and social insurance contributions) has reached 270 million Euros, up by 7 million Euros compared with 2009.

Consumer’s preferences in terms of packaging were kept constant: PET holds a percentage of 49.3%, 31.7% bottle, the can is 16% and 3% the beer on draught.

Committed to educate the market, “Brewers of Romania” Association continues for the second year in a row the Beer Culture Campaign. Launched in 2010, the Campaign has three components: one orientated towards consumer through Romanian’s Love Beer TVC’s showing that the pleasant moments in life go well with beer, the second is a public relations component and the third, very important for brewers, the social responsibility programs (educational campaigns promoting moderate beer consumption only for adults and “Designated driver” campaign).

The three parts are held together by the same key messages: consumed with moderation, beer offers a wonderful taste and a pleasant experience to the consumers; beer is a part of a healthy and modern lifestyle; brewed from natural ingredients beer offers real benefits.

“Beer is a refreshing enjoyable beverage which brings pleasure and social interaction to many people.

When consumed in moderation – as done by the vast majority – beer can be part of an adult’s balanced and healthy lifestyle. Moreover, all across Europe, beer is associated with conviviality. This is maybe more true than ever in Romania, a Latin country whose nationals are much appreciating friendship and spending times together in front of a glass of beer,” told us Constantin Bratu, General Manager of the Association.

99% of the Beer from the Local Production

The unstable economic environment in 2010 resulted in a decrease of the beer market by 3.5% over the previous year, reaching a total volume of 17 million hectoliters. In the last two years the beer market declined by 16% compared to 2008,

„Brewers of Romania” Association was established in 2004. The current members are five of the largest beer producers in Romania and, starting 2011, the most important producers of hops and malt, the raw material required for all beer, have joined the Association.

The five companies members of the “Brewers of Romania” Association reached a total volume of 15.3 million hectoliters in 2010. In the 10 beer factories located in several cities all over the country, the

Association’s members offer a total of over 4,100 jobs.

The beer industry generates a total number of 96,400 employees, in its factories and also in related sectors such as hospitality, retail, suppliers and distributors.

Since January 2008, the organization is a member of the “Brewers of Europe” Association, considered the voice of the European beer industry in front of various international institutions and organizations. Founded in 1958, in Brussels, the organization has today 27 members and represents the interests of approximately 4,000 producers of the beer industry in Europe. Moreover, the Brewers of Europe Association represents and defends the interests of over 2.5 million people who owe their jobs to production and beer selling.

Cadastru verde pentru Capital` La nivelul municipiului Bucure[ti a fost implementat recent sistemul informatic de înregistrare [i de eviden]` ale spa]iilor verzi aflate pe teritoriul intravilan. Sub diferite denumiri (“green cadastre”, “cadastre vert”, “urban forest inventory”, “urban tree inventory”, “Baumkataster” etc.) acest sistem este implementat [i func]ional în numeroase ora[e din întreaga lume, pân` în prezent nu [i în România.

Primarul General, Sorin Oprescu, a comentat rezultatele „Registrului Spa]iilor Verzi”, declarând: „Începem s` cre`m instrumente de care este esen] ial s` ne folosim. Pân` acum au fost doar vorbe.

Prin intermediul acestui cadastru verde vom putea s` facem monitoriz`ri, s` inform`m prim`riile de sector [i nu în ultimul rând vom putea face o monitorizare activ` prin care se vor verifica [i, de ce nu, împiedica defri[`rile. Este pentru prima dat` când toate suprafe]ele verzi din Capital` au fost inventariate. Este Cadastrul Verde al Bucure[tiului”.

În ceea ce prive[te directivele Uniunii Europene, potrivit c`rora autorit`]ile administra]iei publice locale au obliga]ia de a asigura din terenul intravilan o suprafa]` de spa]iu verde de minimum 20 mp/ locuitor, pân` la de 31 decembrie 2010 ([i de minimum 26 mp/locuitor, pân` la 31 decembrie 2013), Primarul General a explicat c`, în prezent, suprafa] a verde per locuitor în Bucure[ti este de 23,21 mp. În ceea ce prive[te posibilitatea cre[terii suprafe]ei de spa]iu verde din Capital`, Primarul General a explicat c` „avem în vedere înverzirea malurilor Dâmbovi]ei, proiect care se realizeaz` prin fonduri europene. Numai prin aceast` ac] iune s-ar castiga 499 de hectare de spa]ii verzi”. În ceea ce prive[te num`rul de arbori din Bucure[ti, pe cele peste 4.500 de hectare de spa] ii verzi, acesta dep`[e[te cu pu]in 1,7 milioane, sectorul 1 al Capitalei fiind cel mai verde, iar sectorul 5 cel mai slab din acest punct de vedere. Dac` la nivel de metropol` revin 0,88 arbori per locuitor, la nivelul sectorului 1 cifra se ridic` la 2,44.

Film nou de Radu Jude Sfâr[itul lui iunie a dat startul film`rilor la ”Toat` lumea din familia noastr`”, cel mai recent lungmetraj scris [i regizat de Radu Jude.

Este vorba de o coproduc]ie Hi Film Productions (produc`tor principal), Circe Films (Olanda) [i Abis Studio (România).

Proiectul ”Toat` lumea din familia noastr`” a fost dezvoltat în cadrul CineLink (Festivalul de Film de la Sarajevo) [i CrossRoads (Co-Production Forum, organizat de Thessaloniki International Film Festival), iar la Sofia Meetings a fost premiat cu Best Pitch Award. A avut sus]inere din partea Centrulului Na]ional al Cinematografiei, Eurimages, HBO România, Teleclub [i City Cinema.

Film`rile la ”Toat` lumea din familia noastr`” dureaz` aproximativ o lun` [i au loc în Bucure[ti.

Lungmetrajul vorbe[te într-un mod dramatic dar [i comic despre consecin]ele unui divor], despre durerea, triste]ea, situa]ia absurd` [i f`r` sens a tuturor celor pe care separarea îi afecteaz`. Din acest punct de vedere, ”Toat` lumea din familia noastr`” red` un subiect foarte pu]in explorat în cinematografia româneasc`. A[a cum sus]ine regizorul Radu Jude, inten]ia sa nu este doar de a spune o poveste sincer` despre divor], ci este mai degrab` interesat s` analizeze modul în care conflictele sunt generate [i evolueaz`. Astfel, divor]ul [i consecin]ele acestuia nu sunt tema principal` a scenariului, ci doar contextul în care personajele se dezvolt`. Lipsa de comunicare dintre acestea, e[ecul în a în]elege p`rerea celuilalt, imposibilitatea, de la un punct încolo, de a îndrepta r`ul f`cut – toate aceste idei sunt explorate în film. ”Toat` lumea din familia noastr`” îi are în rolurile principale pe Serban Pavlu, Mihaela Sîrbu [i Gabriel Spahiu, cu apari]ia extraordinar` a cunoscu]ilor actori Tamara Buciuceanu Botez, Stela Popescu [i Alexandru Ar[inel.

Regizorul [i scenaristul Radu Jude este autorul celui mai premiat scurtmetraj românesc, “Lampa cu c`ciul`”. Lungmetrajul s`u de debut, “Cea mai fericit` fat` din lume”, a câ[tigat CICAE Award la Forum Berlinale 2009, premiul FIPRESCI la Sofia IFF [i IndieLisboa IFF, premiul Golden Tower – Palic European IFF [i Award CineEcole – ACID Program Cannes [i a fost selec] ionat în peste 60 de festivaluri de film.

Pentru al [aselea an consecutiv se desf`[oar`, în Pia]a „George Enescu” maratonului ”Bucharest music film festival” (24 iunie - 2 iulie).Pe parcursul festivalului, cei care vin în Pia]a „George Enescu” pot participa la tombola cu premii organizat` de ArCuB. Tragerea la sor]i are în ultima zi - sâmb`t`, 2 iulie.

Evenimentul a fost gândit în a[a fel încât atmosfera pl`cut` s` fie completat` de standuri cu suveniruri [i un loc de joac` pentru copii, unde ei s` poat` explora în voie ”Corabia pira]ilor”.

Programul a inclus diverse momente, cum ar fi: patru perechi de balerini profesioni[ti dansând pe acordurile valsurilor vieneze, pe ringul special amenajat. Coregrafia îmbin` valsul clasic vienez cu baletul, a[a cum le g`sim p`strate doar în tradi]ia Concertului de Anul Nou de la Viena. Costumele spectaculoase [i partiturile celebre introduc introduc audien]a în atmosfera saloanelor cu parfum de alt`dat`. Publicul spectator este invitat s` se al`ture protagoni[tilor [i împreun` cu ace[tia s` se bucure de magia dansului.

Coregrafia este semnat` de R`zvan Mazilu [i Monica Petric`.

Este prezent` [i Orchestra Sinfonia Bucure[ti, dirijor – Florin Totan. Programul include, de asemenea, proiec]ia înregistr`rii Concertului de Anul Nou de la Viena 2011; recitalul la pian al artistului Horia Maxim; recitalul Camerata Regala, acompaniat` de solista Simina Croitoru (vioar`); proiec]ia filmului Celebrare Gustav Mahler; concertul Orchestrei Na]ionale Radio, dirijor Tiberiu Soare, al`turi de solistul rus Vadim Palmov (la pian); proiec]ia filmului BBC Proms ”Simfonia nr.4 [i nr. 5 – Gustav Mahler”, dar [i concertul Filarmonicii Oltenia din Craiova, dirijor – Emil Siegbert Maxim, soli[ti – Diana ]ugui (sopran`), Hector Lopez (tenor). Festivalul se încheie cu proiec]ia filmului ”Simfonia nr. 8 – Gustav Mahler”.

Na]ionalul Bucure[tean în fa]a noii stagiuni Teatrul Na]ional din Bucure[ti [i-a închis stagiunea mai devreme în acest an, ”pentru a da câmp liber” lucr`rilor de reconstruc]ie a cl`dirii începute în martie.

Regizorul bulgar Aleksander Morfov, nume de prim` m`rime al regiei europene (al c`rui spectacol „Exila]ii” a fost prezentat în turneu pe scena mare a TNB în urm` cu un an), a început repeti]iile la “Vizita b`trânei doamne”, cunoscuta pies` a dramaturgului elve]ian Friedrich Dürrenmatt, premiera urmând s` aib` loc în prima parte a viitoarei stagiuni. Rolul ”b`trânei doamne” va fi interpretat de Maia Morgenstern. Scenografia spectacolului care va avea loc la Sala Mare va fi semnat` de scenograful bulgar Nikola Toromanov.

Se afl` de asemenea în repeti]ii avansate o pies` de referin]` a dramaturgiei române[ti interbelice, „Omul cu mâr]oaga” de George Ciprian, în regia Anc`i Bradu. Un alt proiect repertorial incitant, piesa „B`iatul din ultima banc`” a dramaturgului spaniol Juan Mayorga, va fi realizat de regizorul Cristian Theodor Popescu.

Vârstele Reginei Maria în portrete [i sculpturi Pe 14 iulie Carmen T`n`soiu va începe, în colaborare cu Funda]ia Calea Victoriei, o serie de conferin]e dedicate Familiei Regale a României. Prima dintre acestea pune în lumin` distinsa [i luminoasa personalitate a Reginei Maria, modul în care Regina a fost perceput` [i imortalizat` de arti[tii care i-au fost contemporani. ‘’Vârstele Reginei Maria” - portrete si sculpturi, este prezentat` la Palatul Cesianu - Galeriile Artmark (vizavi de Biblioteca Universitara Carol I), pe 14 iulie, la ora 19. Adept` a modernismului [i creatoare de art` în stilul acelei ,,Belle Epoque” de la cump`na veacurilor XIX [i XX, în care se reg`sesc elementele impresionismului [i Art Nouveau-ului, principesa mo[tenitoare [i apoi regina Maria a fost mult mai atent` fa]` de imaginea ei public` decât so]ul ei regele Ferdinand.

Str`lucire în stil italian La mijloc de iunie bijuteriile italiene de lux au ajuns la Bucure[ti o dat` cu cu celebrarea celor 150 ani de la unificarea Italiei. Institutul Italian pentru Comert Exterior la Bucure[ti (ICE) a organizat unul dintre cele mai importante evenimente interna]ionale: expozi]ia [i workshop-ul “Bijuterii italiene”, aducând în România 33 de societ`]i italiene produc`toare de bijuterii, [i 450 dintre cei mai mari buyeri de bijuterii de lux din Europa de Est dar [i din alte zone ale Europei. România a s`rb`torit astfel la rândul s`u cei 150 de ani de la unificarea Italiei, eviden]iind în acela[i timp faptul c` ]ara noastr` devine o protagonist` în peisajul evenimentelor europene la nivel înalt.

Valorea bijuteriilor ce au fost expuse a fost în jur de câteva milioane de euro, ceea ce a impus adoptarea unor m`suri severe de siguran]` la hotelul Radisson BLU pe întreaga durat` a celor dou` zile de întâlniri între produc`tori [i buyeri.

Succesul înregistrat anul trecut, în cadrul primei edi]ii a acestui eveniment, a f`cut ca cei mai mari buyeri de bijuterii din Europa de Est s` soseasc` cu aceast` ocazie la Bucure[ti, pentru a participa la aceast` important` manifestare. În prima sear` a evenimentului, în superbul loc din jurul bazinului de înot, am asistat [i la o prezentare special` de mod` cu o parte dintre bijuteriile prezente la Bucure[ti. Nici m`car stropii de ploaie veni]i ca din senin nu au reu[it s` estompeze str`lucirile în stil italian!

Dorin]a Ariadnei Avram, care a atras în jurul s`u oameni frumo[i la suflet [i competen]i în ceea ce [i-a propus Funda]ia Löwendal, este de a face cunoscut ceea ce a creat bunicul s`u, pe nedrept l`sat în uitare, a[a cum sus]in foarte mul]i oameni de teatru.

Cea mai recent` ac]iune întreprins` de Funda] ia Löwendal a fost participarea cu o expozi]ie despre crea]ia scenic` a artistului în cadrul unuia dintre marile evenimente mondiale dedicate scenografiei - Quadrienala de la Praga (16-26 iunie). Expozi]ia a fost organizat` în alt spa]iu decât cel al Quadrienalei [i anume în Galeria Institutului Cultural Român de la Praga, scopul fiind de a ar`ta speciali[tilor ceea ce a realizat Löwendal pe scen` (decor, costume, p`pu[i), în special în anii ’20 ai secolului trecut. Modern`, cu un sim] organizatoric ie[it din comun, expozi] ia cu crea]ii de zeci de ani a fost apreciat` la Praga de consacra]i scenografi. I-a uimit pe mul]i albumul editat, care vorbe[te despre originile lui Löwendal, nobil ce se trage din familie danez` [i norvegian`, n`scut [i format la Sankt-Petersburg. Familia sa moare în fl`c`rile revolu]iei din octombrie, iar George baron Löwendal vine în România, la invita]ia fostului s`u profesor Alexandrov, str`mutat la Soroca.

redescoperit Expozi]ia de la Praga gândit` dup` conceptul scenografei Viorica Petrovici [i organizat` împreun` cu George Radu (in imaginea 2), intitulat` „George baron Löwendal. Redescoperirea unui mare scenograf european de la începutul sec. al XX-lea”, poate fi vizitat` pân` la sfâr[itul lunii iulie. În timpul prezent`rii exponatelor [i a lans`rii albumului de scenografie „George Löwendal – un aristocrat în luminile rampei” (coordonator Andreea Dumitru, editat de Funda]ia Löwendal cu sprijinul ICR), publicul a putut vedea [i documentarul „Familia Löwendal” realizat de Anca Filoteanu (Premiul APTR 2006). În Nota asupra edi]iei a albumului, Andreea Dumitru spune: ”Artist ‘f`r` hotare’, cu o activitate scenografic` de aproape trei decenii, George baron Löwendal a l`sat o uria[` oper` în domeniu. O confirm` [i impresionanta arhiv` constituit` prin grija [i pasiunea celor dou` fiice ale sale, Lydia Löwendal Papae [i Irina Dall (numele de scen` al Irinei Löwendal, mo[tenire atent conservat` [i valorificat` în prezent de nepoata artistului, Ariadna Avram (…). Aceste fonduri documentare con]in: note memorialistice, o bogat` coresponden]` de ordin personal, oficial [i profesional; afi[e, caiete-program, fotografii (scene din spectacole la care a lucrat), nenum`rate caiete [i carnete, crochiuri, schi]e de decor [i costume, precum [i de planta]ii scenice (cu nota]ii în limbile rus`, român`, german`); sute de cronici atestând receptarea critic` a crea]iei sale, extrase din publica]ii cern`u]ene (în român` [i german`), din presa bucure[tean` [i din provincie.

Dac` pân` ast`zi, au ap`rut dou` albume monografice, un catalog de expozi]ie [i multe studii disparate dedicate pictorului, lucrarea de fa]` este prima consacrat` special scenografului [i, într-un sens mai larg, creatorului de teatru George baron Löwendal.

Analiza operei sale este structurat` aici pe dou` coordonate: geografic` [i cronologic`. Cât prive[te cel de-al doilea criteriu, s-au avut în

vedere biografia (punctat` de repere orientative din calendarul avangardei istorice europene [i române[ti), periodizarea crea]iei teatrale [i aprecierea ei de c`tre importan]i regizori [i scenografi de azi. Sec]iunea central` – Scenografii (1922 –1949) – eviden]iaz` etapele crea]iei lui Löwendal, precizând ora[ele [i teatrele unde a lucrat în perioadele respective, cu o scurt` introducere menit` s` evoce contextul cultural al fiec`reia.

Am înso]it ilustra]iile cu extrase din pres`, în dorin]a de a reflecta impactul în epoc` al scenografiilor lui Löwendal. Am recurs la o selec]ie riguroas` a numeroaselor cronici existente, astfel încât între imagine [i text s` se stabileasc` o rela]ie de dialog [i complementaritate. Am privilegiat citatele cu virtu]i teoretice: acolo unde a fost posibil, am al`turat comentariilor semnate de artist pe cele ale colaboratorilor s`i apropia]i (îndeosebi în perioada bucovinean`, gra]ie vremelnicei publica]ii Spectatorul, editat` de Teatrul Na]ional din Cern`u]i); nu am evitat cronicile defavorabile, atâta timp cât ele reflectau controversele estetice ale vremii, mai cu seam` pe cele în jurul avangardelor teatrale. Am renun]at, în schimb, la articolele de nuan]` monden`, oricât de elogioase ar fi fost ele la adresa scenografului. Toate sursele citatelor se reg`sesc în Bibliografia de la sfâr[it.

Un amplu capitol reliefeaz` [i ilustreaz`, în premier`, contribu]ia hot`râtoare a artistului – deopotriv` ca organizator [i scenograf – la fondarea [i func]ionarea primului teatru profesionist de marionete din România (Cern`u]i, 1928)”. Iat` un motiv pentru care albumul are o incontestabil` valoare.

Expozi]ia de la ICR Praga eviden]iaz`, potrivit Vioric`i Petrovici, începutul scenografiei române[ti, într-o sec]iune dedicat` mae[trilor la aceast` edi]ie a Quadrienalei. Sunt aproximativ 60 de lucr`ri expuse la parterul [i la etajul galeriei: schi]e de decor [i de costume realizate de Löwendal, portrete în c`rbune ale unor actori de la Teatrul Na]ional din Cern`u]i [i de la teatre din Bucure[ti, majoritatea fiind f`cute în perioada interbelic`. De asemenea, sunt [ase machete, câteva marionete, dar [i costume create de studen]i de la sec]ia Scenografie a Universit`]ii de Arte Bucure[ti dup` schi]ele de decor [i de costume ale lui Löwendal.

Travel Advisor Media [i Asocia]ia pentru Cultur` [i Arte “Geneze” au organizat pe 16 iunie, la Casa Latin` – Salonul Francez (www.casa-latina.ro), cea de-a doua edi]ie a Premiilor Bucure[tilor – un eveniment care î[i propune o frecven]` de 8-9 edi]ii pe an. În cadrul acestei serii de evenimente – unde sunt invita]i oameni de cultur`, speciali[ti în turism [i jurnali[ti – sunt recunoscute valori din domeniile turismului, culturii [i mass-media. La finele anului, în luna decembrie, va fi organizat` o Gal` de Excelen]`. Alegând aceste din urm` variante po]i ajunge cu ma[ina personal` direct pe insul` dup` o croazier` de circa 4 ore, în care ai ca bonus, pe lâng` traseul impresionant printre „semin]ele” Sporade, [i pesc`ru[ii pe cât de hr`p`re] i pe atât de juc`u[i care te înso]esc în speran]a c` vor primi un biscuit de la tine! Organizatorul nostru, Max Holidays, a ales feribotul din Volos, la ducere cel rapid (care te priveaz` îns` de peisajele mirifice, pe care le vezi prin plexiglasul ce-l închide ermetic), iar la revenire cel normal, prin care desp`r]irea, de[i dureroas`, este estompat` de drum.

Dintre Sporade, Skopelos (în greac` coast` stâncoas`) este cea mai mare insul`, cu o suprafa]` de circa 96 km2 (mai mare decât Mykonos sau Santorini) [i o altitudine maxim` de 681 m, ca s` dau reperele geografice ale locului.

Sporadele, ca ni[te semin]e împr`[tiate (ceea ce [i înseamn` în limba greac`), pot fi atinse în mai multe moduri. Pentru cel care c`l`tore[te cu avionul aeroportul din Skiathos deserve[te întreg arhipelagul, iar charterele verii aterizeaz` non-stop aici. Din Skiathos, desele feriboturi te duc rapid c`tre destina] ia final` a concediului „din insule”. Feriboturi pleac`

este ca o ilustrat` perfect` din concediu, cu aproape toate casele albe, cu unul-dou` nivele, vopsite în alb, cu acoperi[uri albastre [i cu multe flori ro[ii (mu[cate) la balcoanele din fier forjat amplasate ca într-un amfiteatru în jurul portului. Dar activitatea, cât` poat` fi ea într-o var` greceasc` se concentreaz` pe lunga falez`, plin` cu taverne, baruri [i magazine cu suveniruri de vacan]`, multe produse local, precum ceramica. În aceea[i zon` se afl` [i prim`ria dar [i micul muzeu al artei tradi]ionale. În spate,

din Skopelos str`zile înguste te duc c`tre castrul vene]ian din secolul 13. Ora[ul se sprijin` pe un perete stâncos pe care sunt atârnate numeroase capele-biserici.

Doar în zona Skopelos Town, serios încercat de cutremure [i de atacurile naziste, sunt peste 130 de bisericu]e, dintre cele 365 de pe insul` (!), în care slujesc doar la hramuri 4 preo]i! Cea mai cunoscut` este în mod cert Agios Ioanis - Capela Mamma Mia, altfel nespectaculoas`, dar situat` în

(Mamma Mia 1) sau Kastani (Mamma Mia 2), locuri în care s-au filmat numeroase scene din cunoscutul film muzical Mamma Mia. C`tre ele, sau c`tre Myrtia, Koutria, Perivoli, Pethameni, Hondrogiorgi, Keramoto, Spilia... se ajunge pe drumurile înguste ce traverseaz` zona împ`durit`, zonele cu resturi de vi]` de vie, sau cele cu m`slini [i pruni. vârful unei stânci spectaculoase aflat` în mare [i pe care doar o limb` stâncoas` o leag` de p`mânt. Din vârful stâncii ne apar o mic` grot`, mân`stirea Agion Taxiarchon, construit` pe resturile unei biserici biyantine din secolul 7 [i Capul Gourouni, cu un far. În apropiere se afl` plaja Agios Ioanis într-un golf spectaculos cu ap` extraordinar de limpede.

Plajele insulei nu sunt similare celor din România, fiind mai mult pietroase, dar sunt amenajate [i î[i a[teapt` turi[tii cu intimitatea unui budoar, sau cu deschiderea unei expozi]ii! În vizita noastr` pe insul`, gazda, Makis Perdikaris, directorul Thalpos Holidays care a stat cu noi [i ne-a dat explica]ii despre insul`, ne-a dus [i c`tre alte plaje – Panormos, cu umbrelele [i sezlongurile preg`tite, Milia Beach Celelalte dou` or`[ele-comunit`]i ale insulei sunt Glossa [i Neo Klima (Elios). De altfel prima oprire a feribotului este la Glossa, sau mai exact în Loutraki (anticul Selinounda), micul port [i a[ezare de pescari care deserve[te ora[ul. Aici am petrecut [i noi o dup`amiaz` într-una din numeroasele taverne trecând printre ruinele antice, romane, ateniene sau bizantine.

Dac` hotelul Rigas ne-a impresionat, trebuie amintite [i hotelurile Ionia, sau Prices Stafylos, cel de patru stele, înconjurat de gr`dini luxuriante, [i având camere cu podele din lemn masiv [i mobilier modern, dar [i vilele [i apartamentele private pe care le-am v`zut.

Singurul regret al [ederii în Skopelos a fost durata, prea scurt`! Sincer, recomand un sejur de minim 10 zile!

Canalul de turism Travel Mix, este prezent pe pia]a din România din 17 martie, dat` la care a avut loc lansarea oficial` a postului, în cadrul Târgului de Turism organizat de ANAT la Palatul Parlamentului.

Bike-sharing Project for Employees

More and more private companies encourage the physical activities and thus a healthier lifestyle. Here is the latest example. Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania launched this summer the first free bike-sharing project for employees working in the Central Bank from Arad and Bucharest. For the pilot phase of this project, implemented at regional level by the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, the bicycles have been provided

by Biciclop, the first physical and online store from Romania which has for sale only city-bikes.

Through this program, Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania Group offer to over 250 employees of the Central Bank an alternative to current modes of transportation, encouraging the physical activities and thus a healthier lifestyle.

The bicycles were chosen from the Biciclop offer, so that they should fit to the traffic conditions in the city - the model of bicycle is universal, city-type bike with aluminum frame and three speed. Coco Popescu s`rb`torit` la Bologna Pe 19 iulie, alpinista Crina Coco Popescu a participat în Italia, la Bologna, la “Seven Volcanoes Celebration”. Conform invita]iei la eveniment, scris` în italian` [i român`, au fost s`rb`torite rezultatele Expedi]iei Interna]ionale “Antarctica ianuarie 2011”, care a cuprins ascensiunea pe Mount Vinson, cel mai înalt munte din Antarctica, [i prima ascensiune pe Mount Sidley, cel mai înalt vulcan de pe continent. An Indian Artist in Bucharest Melenia Art Gallery presented on June 8, an exciting jewelry and painting exhibition of the Indian artist Adity Chakravarti. Adity Chakravarti, the wife of the Indian ambassador in Bucharest, has lived on different continents. This has given her the unique chance of being in different cultures, where sights, sounds and smells make an amazing collage. She has absorbed the art and culture of these places and interacted with its artists.

This is what her work showed us. Images and symbols weave in and out of her paintings. Vibrant colours which tell their own story. Together they form visuals that are in complete harmony and engage the viewer in a dialogue.

The actual exhibition was one of the rare and good chances to feel the tastes of diverse cultures mingled so as to produce a harmonious effect.

Taking a little the artists between her guests for a short talk, I received an invitation for another event in which Adity Chakravarti had a major contribution Between Fact and Fiction, a theatre-dance performance on the poem of Adity Chakravarti and music by Cristian Stanciu, starring Dana Porlogea, Monica Florescu, Cristina Lilienfeld, Petre Voicu, Bogdan Nechifor, Aura Goia, Cristina Constantinescu and Florentina Constantin.

Really impressed by this works and the performance I decided to continue the talk with Adity Chakravarti.

Peninsula 2011 , Targu Mures AUGUST 25 – 28, TARGU MURES Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula begin the ninth edition in force, with a concert of Guano Apes Germans, on August 25!

Flagship crossover band returns in Romania to its first concert in Transylvania, after the 2009 edition of the Tuborg Green Fest Bucharest when they delighted the audiences in Izvor Park with hits as “Open Your Eyes” and “Lords of the Boards”.

Also in the rock music category is the concert of Grimus band from Cluj, who promises to be one of the moments of attraction, especially since it will include songs from their last album, Egretta, which will be launched in Romania only in October.

But rock is not only well represented at Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula this year, also electronic music. Along with big names like Nick Warren (house) or Borgore (dubstep), the longest holiday of the summer will benefit from the sound of the Reality Engine, Stereo Palma, Suie Paparude and the last combination of supertalents in Romania, ROA (Rise of Artificial).

Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula is organized between August 25 – 28, in Targu Mures, near the Weekend Entertainment Complex, on the Mures River banks.

Champion for Romania July 9, Romexpo Exhibitions Centre Romanian boxer Lucian Bute will defend his IBF world champion Super-Middleweight title for the eighth time, against Frenchman Jean-Paul Mendy. The French, 37-year-old, is unbeaten in his professional career (29 wins, 1 draw). Bute’s game could start at around 23:00 hours requested by the American television which covers the gala.

Lucian Bute, the famous Romanian SuperMiddleweight boxer, world champion in IBF version became a professional boxer in 2003, signing a contract with the Canadian club Interbox. His record is 28 victories in 28 matches, 23 by KO. He lives in Montreal, being coached by Stephane Larouche.

Bute is the third Romanian who won a professional world title after Leonard Doroftei and Mihai Leu. The gala will start at 18:30 and will include seven matches, including: Featherweight bout: Viorel Simion (Romania) - Jun Talape (Philippines). The match will take place over 12 rounds and will count for the WBC category international title.

Featherweight bout: Apollo Ciprian (Romania) - Genaro Garcia (Mexico). The match will be played over four rounds.

Light Heavyweight bout: 8 or 10 rounds: St-Juste Remam (Canada) - Jaudiel Zepeda (Mexico).

Heavyweight, 4 rounds: Bogdan Dinu (Romania) - Tamim Mohamed Awadhi (Tanzania).

The Romanian Boxing Federation president, Rudel Obreja, contacted Donald “Don” King, now aged 79, to invite to Lucian Bute’s gala from Bucharest. Don King is likely to come to Bucharest to watch Bute, under contract with Interbox, to promote him in America. The Romanian Boxing Federation Box tries to bring both Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis in Bucharest.

In total, about 10,000 tickets are on sale, and if they will be sold, the gala “Champion for Romania” will register a record audience for a national sporting indoor event held. Tickets cost between 70 and 600 lei.

Romexpo access will be allowed starting at 17:30.

Bon Jovi Live July 10, Constitutiei Sq. Bon Jovi will perform for the first time in Romania, on July 10, in Constitution Square in Bucharest. Due to public demand, Bon Jovi added Bucharest to the list of destinations for 2011 European tour. This continues the tour in 2010, which ranks first in top incomes by both Billboard and the Pollstar, a distinction awarded for the second time in three years. The tour crosses the United States, Canada and Europe. Overall, Grammy winners have sold more than 125 million albums, have performed in more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries and in front of more than 35 million fans.

Judas Priest returns to Romania in a concert as part of “Epitaph” tour, last of the over 40 years career of the band. The band’s final tour began on June 9 in Sweden, continuing with performances at festivals in Scandinavia, England, Belgium and Germany.
