Day Of The Dead was originally a Mexican celebration however it's now celebrated in numerous countries around the world. It starts on the 31st of October and lasts for 3 days but unlike halloween it doesn't focus on death, horror and scary things, it focusses on celebrating the life of our loved ones who have passed. It's a peaceful & beautiful celebration surrounded with colours, flowers, candles and lots of sweet treats. We've included some traditional Mexican recipes in this Experience Book along with some blends to help you come to terms with losing someone special and learning to celebrate their life.

This recipe is the perfect party dish to share with friends & you could even add your own bread tombstones on the top for special effect. Best served with tortilla chips so they can be dug right into the bottom of all those
yummy layers and scooped out to enjoy. It's the perfect blend of spicy and cooling all at the same time... mind blowing!
4 cups Milk
¼ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 tablespoons Bittersweet Chocolate chopped
4 teaspoons Sugar
4 pinches Cayenne Pepper
1 drop Cinnamon Bark
Optional, Cinnamon Stick, Cinnamon Powder and Cayenne Pepper for garnish.
Pour milk into a medium pan. Whisk in cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate and sugar and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue whisking until the sugar has dissolved, the chocolate has melted and the cocoa powder has been fully incorporated. Add in the Cinnamon Bark oil and cayenne pepper and mix thoroughly. Keep stirring over a medium heat until the milk is steamy and fragrant and the top of the milk is frothy. Pour into four mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks and a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon and cayenne pepper, if desired.
Who said chilli and chocolate don't go together? Well we strongly disagree! This Mexican hot chocolate is like an explosion of flavour... it's sweet, yet spicy, yet bitter all at the same time, being perfect for those dark, colder nights or to serve as a night cap for your Day of the Dead celebration.

Preheat the oven to 95 degrees celsius and cover a baking tray with tin foil. In a bowl, combine the sugar, water and oils and using your fingers mix until everything feels like slightly wet sand.
Take the mould and pack the sugar really well, pushing with your fingers until every space of the mould is filled up.
Turn it over carefully on the tin foil and repeat until the mixture is finished. Place the skulls in the oven for 15 minutes. Take them out of the oven and let them cool down. Once they have fully cooled, open your icing tubes and start decorating. Let the skulls dry completely and then they will be ready to eat or display.

2 drops Lime M e t h o d E x p e r i e n c e
100g Beeswax
100g Coconut Oil
Glass Jar
Candle Wick
20 drops Lemon
20 drops Frankincense
20 drops Bergamot
10 drops Vetiver
Sea Salt Coarse Grain
Mica powder to add colour if required
Dry Marigold Flowers
Add water in a pan and bring to the boil, then make a double boiler by adding a glass or metal bowl allowing the base to sit in the water approximately 2 cm but not touch the bottom of the pan. Gently melt the beeswax and coconut oil mixture, stirring it as it melts.
Cut the candle wick to the desired length and using hot glue or melted wax stick it to the centre of your glass jar.
Stabilise the wick by wrapping it around a pencil and balancing it across the jar to keep the wick central and upright.
Once the wax is melted add a teaspoon of mica powder and mix well if you want to colour your candle. Take the wax off the heat and allow to cool for a few minutes, then add the oils and stir them in gently. Gently pour 95% of the wax in your jar leaving 2cm at the top for the topping and remaining wax. Allow to set for several hours, saving 5% of the wax for the topping. Once your candle has set, re melt the remaining 5% of your wax and gently pour it on to your candle. Add your flowers into the melted wax and sprinkle some salt.
Allow to set fully and trim the wick.
Let your candle sit for a further 24hrs before lighting.
In Mexico they used to place candles on their loved ones' grave stones and on altars to help them find their way back to them. Make your own candle to make your own celebration. The oils used are perfect for lifting grief and replacing it with a full heart. Make your candle with intention and your loved one in mind, and when you light it, take a deep breath, smile and send some love to them. Use this candle as a means of honouring their life and celebrating all that they were... E x p e r i e n c e
