Kimmerle Group and its affiliates KNA Architecture, Kimmerle Workspace, Inc., MedDev, Inc and KG Project Management are now located in both Manhattan and NJ to serve our client family.

In late 2013 the NJ office will relocate to a company owned and renovated facility in Harding Township, NJ. This headquarters project will be a living sustainability lab embracing green initiatives in geothermal, solar, and passive energy technologies.

2013 Update RECENT MEDICAL, HOSPITAL, INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING ASSIGNMENTS Our ongoing medical architecture and interiors practice has flourished and expanded into a larger role as strategic planner and development advisor.

130,000sf master plan on Chilton’s main campus in Pequannock, approved July 2013 Medical Office and Ambulatory Care Center, Hospice and Daycare. Planning approvals obtained in a three-year development and planning process led by George Kimmerle.

Involved significant approvals at the NJDEP related to wetlands.

Maimonides Medical Center

500,000sf Master Plan on MMC’s Borough Park main campus 145,000sf Medical Office and Ambulatory Care Center 2014 Groundbreaking. KG and its affiliate medical consultant MedDev Inc., negotiated a joint venture between MMC and HCREIT, and national health care financial fund in partnership with its dedicated development arm, Frauenshuh, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN. This significant addition to MMC’s campus is structured as an off-balance sheet transaction secured by a moderate term lease from MMC to HCREIT. Spectrum for Living

Adult Training Center for disabled citizens – 8,000sf Opening Summer 2014. In its fifth assignment for this ongoing non-profit partner, KG led a rigorous approval process involving significant development waivers with the NJDEP in the NJ Highlands regulated district for the Ringwood ATC.

Hackensack/HUMC

Nuclear Cardiology Testing Center and Practice Group – 15,000sf This project in Teaneck successfully addressed the merger of an outside practice with HUMC internal cardiac staff. A bellwether of changes occurring in the medical world with integration of hospital institutions and practice groups.

Satellite Medical Office, 50,000sf Commencing October 2013. An interiors fit-out in Livingston for this independent practice entity with significant impact on the northern NJ health sector. Will include state regulated MRI/Imaging, Cardiology, and medical practice spaces.

William J Kimmerle has led the resurgence of our twenty year procurement practice. With a revived economy in 2012 and 2013, Workspace has specified and placed over $25M list in new product in this period. We thank our ongoing vendor partners for their support including: Haworth, Knoll, Geiger, Davis, and a host of service companies and installers who make our work a success and significant value to our client family.

KG Project Management

At the urging of our client associates, Kimmerle Group has formed KG Project Management to provide enhanced services in the area of project management and owners representation, including due diligence and project controls. These services are an outgrowth of many years of success in project management under the parent company banner.

The PM group has been formed as an independent entity with affiliations with KG, KNA, and also CBRE and longstanding client relationships.

TEAM NEWS After a short hiatus with her family, Cindy has rejoined the firm to lead our corporate branding efforts along with her regular project responsibilities.

Mark Montalbano, AIA

Since August 2012 Mark has been instrumental in assignments including Vitamin Shoppe, Chilton Hospital, and work with the State of New Jersey. Mark will lead the NJ office as operations director along with his regular project assignments.

He is a graduate of Pratt Institute with previous tenure at national firms including Gwathmey Siegel.

Elina Shchervinsky, LEED AP

Elina is leading project teams in several practice areas and will be an important part of the newly formed KG Project Management team.

Meghan Barlotta

Serving as a leader in Kimmerle Workspace, Meghan brings proven expertise in the management and coordination of FFE requirements for a range of out of state assignments.

Her background includes senior project management roles for Knoll International.

Ashley Rumble

With an extensive history of accomplishments in the furniture dealership world, Ashley has joined the firm to help expand our Kimmerle Workspace offering and provides technical and project management support for that team. She will also expand her activities with KG Project Management in the coming months.

Yang-Yu Huang

Bringing fresh insight in architecture and urban design, and recently graduated from University of Michigan’s Taubman School, Yang-yu is strongly supporting efforts in urban infill projects.

Elizabeth Houston

A recent graduate in interior architecture, Elizabeth is bringing her energy and enthusiasm to Kimmerle Newman’s work in corporate interiors.
