The Kimmerle Group

Morristown NJ and Stonington CT

20 years

As we mark our twentieth year in practice, we prefer to focus on the incredible league of personal and professional friends and associates built over two decades and to recognize you as the back bone of our success. It is your enthusiasm and drive that constantly inspires us and infuses what we do with energy and relevance. You assure that we stay on point with a focus that extends to each and every undertaking, no matter how large or how small. George J. Kimmerle

So on this occasion, we renew our promise to provide the most relevant array of services possible to our long term friends and sponsors with dedication to your continued success and longevity.

In twenty years of practice and over thirty years in the field, we have learned that we work in a wonderful profession. Architecture is one of those rare fields where you not only get to enjoy the process, but you get to see an incredible result; an actual built construction, a real environment. The places we create become truly important to our clients and a part of their everyday lives. We also have had the good fortune over the years to meet many new clients, to learn about their companies, their livelihoods, and how they work. We then get to translate their requirements into buildings and spaces in which they can live and work. Being asked to be someone’s architect is a measure of their personal faith and trust in us, and for that we are always grateful, nor have we ever taken that commitment for granted.

Paul S. Newman

Downtown planning and design assignments including retrofits of important landmark buildings are a regular component of the practice. 10 Park Place included a complete building repositioning that resulted in significant escalations in asking rents with a reorganized and competitive leasing plan. The project was literally initiated through a series of cocktail napkin sketches at our first meeting with the client.

Projects for Our Long Term Corporate Partners Corporate Interiors Projects Nationwide

Branding of corporate and community image is an integral part of our deliverable package on every assignment. We consider ourselves leaders in this area of practice and are proponents of a larger examination of cultural imagery in each of these assignments. Additionally, George’s current dissertation focuses on such issues in the urban/community context.

Projects in Health Care

Development/Campus Master Plans, Practice Specialties and Other Medical Related Uses

Acting as a development advisor and real estate consultant for major health care and education institutions is becoming a key component of our planning practice. With dozens of completed assignments, the firm is presently engaged in assignments that include medical office buildings, ambulatory care centers, classroom buildings, staff and student housing, as well other related on campus facilities. Other active engagements include hospital closures and the reposition of in place assets.

Projects with Long Term Development Partners Built to Suit Architecture/Regional Headquarters

We are proud to say that we have worked with leaders in the NJ development community for decades. Our understanding of the investment side of the building process goes well beyond normal architectural services, and our simultaneous ability to conceptualize from a larger planning and urban design perspective adds significant overall value to the process.

Residential Architecture for a Select List of Clients

KNA continually seeks a forum to stretch our creative impulses and residential architecture many times provides such a venue. There are always several ongoing residential projects in our office. A just completed design for a hurricane resistant home in Placida, Florida for a long time friend of the practice represents another example of such an opportunity.
