There are also two trips scheduled per session and one special event, which are tied into the theme.

Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Lessons
The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of skills and meeting minimum age requirements. Skill assessments will be done the first day of class and any adjustments will be made at that time. Swim lessons are held Monday through Thursday with Friday left open for make-up days only. The first rain out will be used as the session’s safety day and class will be held for all levels but infants. If another rain out occurs, the class will be made up on Friday. Red Cross certificate is issued at the successful completion of each skill level. The beach is closed during morning swim lessons. All persons, including parents and/or guests are not permitted on the beach during this time. Persons may observe classes from behind the fence line or from inside the beach house as the children who participate in our swim lessons become easily distracted and this will prevent any class disruptions. At the completion of class parents and students must leave the beach area immediately unless they possess a beach pass or pay the daily rate.
REGISTRATION SWIMMING METHODS

11-15 years and 16 years-Adult What is Extreme MovesTM • Expands the physical capabilities of a person using a combination of physics and architecture to strengthen one’s body and mind. •Provides an increase in physical strength, allowing one to move more efficiently through space. • Teaches the connections between physical strength and the physics of the body, allowing one to move more effectively. • Li Chiao-Ping developed the Extreme MovesTM Training Method for dancers/athletes to deconstruct traditional dance vocabulary and challenge notions of what the body is capable of performing. This work demystifies some of the “strength” or “power” movements often thought of as “masculine”. The Extreme MovesTM Training Method assists students to safely and successfully decipher and perform athletically-demanding moves. The Extreme MovesTM Training Method is an extended physical technique, expanding on the possibilities of the body as an expressive instrument. Pee Wee Camp & Kinder Camp June-August Page 23 Our preschool program is intended to help stimulate your child’s social, emotional, and creative development. It is the preschool environment where children learn to respect the authority of adults other than their parents. Friendship, sharing, and cooperation are modeled and practiced on a daily basis. The children participate in all types of learning including art, music, creative play, cooking, poetry, and science. Through carpet time, direct instruction, hands-on learning and freetime activities, the children are exposed to a curriculum that enhances their creativity and also provides a positive atmosphere for learning.

Summer Art – Master Artists
Passport to Pastels
6-13 years Grab your passport and join us for three days of adventurous fun as we explore many “locations” and experience a new medium, pastels. In our imaginations, we will travel to three different locales to inspire each day’s pastel creation. Included locations are a cityscape, the Swiss Alps and a tropical scene full of color. Each day, we will create a 12 x 18 drawing in pastel chalks. A frame will be the proper place for display! No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day. Location: Community Center Program fee: $63 (3 days) Resident Discount Fee: $55 (3 days) Limit: 6/10 Code: 3028
Day: M, W, Th
6-13 years Spend time learning about and replicating some Master Artists with Young Rembrandts. We will draw a variety of awe-inspiring images from many familiar artistic masters, all while exploring different media. We will create a large scene reminiscent to Roy Lichtenstein’s “Still Life with Figurine” from 1974. We will explore the many ways to illustrate shadow and light using techniques that Lichtenstein used. On Day 2, we become caricaturists and create unique cartoons of many famous artists. The final day allows us to explore pastels chalks as we learn about Paul Cezanne and his mastery of light and color. We become Masters ourselves! No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock on the last day. Location: Community Center Program fee: $66 (3 days) Resident Discount Fee: $58 (3 days) Limit: 6/10 Code: 3030

Class Divisions Pre-School Division (3 – 6 years)
These classes introduces students to age appropriate technique, while encouraging their creativity and imaginations. We emphasize exploring the student’s natural passion for melody, rhythm and movement, as well as listening to the music. “Free dance” time is important to the students at this level, as it allows them to express themselves and show their love of movement. Students’ work on following directions, cooperating with others, will begin to develop spatial orientation and use basic counting skills. As they grow they will begin to transition from fairy-tale excitement to the self-awareness and pride of dancing ballet. Still emphasizing the use of imagery and imagination, the students develop basic dance coordination and body alignment. Students learn ballet terminology, how to identify correct and incorrect movements and begin learning how to self-correct themselves while dancing.
Student Division (First Grade and above – contact Meghan Reimers for placement inquiries)
As students grow, they naturally begin to dance as a form expression and imagination. We capture this enthusiasm and incorporate it into our program for young students. As our students mature and their bodies develop strength, we transition to a more serious study of technique that will prepare them to be both confident and technically proficient dancers and artists. Age is used as a guideline for class placement; however a student’s individual ability is important. It is typical for a student to remain at the same level for more than one season. Promotion to the next level does not occur until the student has mastered the current levels syllabus. This is important for the students’ safety, as well as their confidence.

Remember When? COMMUNITY BANKING THE WAY I T U S E D T O B E . . .
Available.
(Take a look around...We’re here!)
We believe in community banking of the good old days. That means actually being there when you need us the most. An all too familiar scene at many banks is an empty bank lobby. They don’t staff their banks because they’d rather do business over the phone or on the internet. We understand the value of face-to-face interaction with our customers. If you have a question about your finances, stop by the bank. We’ll be there to help. How many banks these days can say that?
