Located in Jalan Petitenget, right on the second floor of Taco Local, Jicama is a close neighbor of W Bali. The coffee and dinning spot is a brand new one is Seminyak area, they were officially opened on November 7, but they have their own charm through their unique interior, super cozy outdoor setting and of course nice foods. Jicama is unexpectedly spacious and it’s a perfect place for casual hangout. Traditional rustic door and windows will welcome us right when we are climbing the stair to the second floor. Entering the area, we are greeted by so many unique artworks that we can actually buy. Another thing that will attach our attention right when we are stepping in is the hanging orchid garden right in the middle of the indoor setting. The combination between hanging garden, artwork and modern –traditional rustic interior pop up a homey feeling that tell us “you are going to stay here for a while”. Walking out, we will see trees and many different kinds of chair and tables we can choose to sit on. The outdoor area is set around the bar, which is decorated with tiles. Therefore, if we are craving for cocktails whilst enjoying the outdoor fresh air, Jicama is the place to be. Let them surprise you with the food. Jicama serves various Asian foods, which will come to our table in western styles. Try on their KFC (Korean Friend Chicken), a chicken dish with excellent sauce that doesn’t look like a regular friend chicken at all. Another favorite menu in Jicama is their Pork Belly Bao. They transform this Chinese traditional bread into a burger with mouthwatering filling. The casual coffee and dinning spot is definitely not serving casual taste for your taste buds.
