EXPERIENCE THE PASSOVER MEAL AS JESUS DID
Barrett Campus | Tuesday, April 15 | 6:00-9:00pm
In partnership with Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), NMC will host a Passover Seder. This traditional dinner is attended by many Jewish families and communities. It is a moment to celebrate the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Hebrew word Seder means “order.” The Passover meal follows a set order of particular foods, prayers, and songs. So, why would a believer participate in the Passover meal?
Well, Paul writes to the Church in Corinth that Jesus is our Passover Lamb who was sacrificed for us (1 Corinthians 5:7). As believers, we can identify that the Seder carries a New Testament meaning related to Jesus the Messiah. The Passover is a wonderful picture of Jesus’ atonement and deliverance of His people. As the Last Supper was a Passover meal, one may gain a deeper understanding of the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Join us as the DTS President, Dr. Mark Yarbrough, and the DTS Director of Jewish Studies, Rabbi Vladimir Pikman, lead us in a Passover Seder on the Barrett campus on Tuesday, April 15, from 6:00-9:00pm. Children in Kindergarten and older are encouraged to attend the Seder with their families. The cost is $20 per person (including adults, teens, and children). Childcare is available for preschoolers and under. Space and childcare are limited for this event.
Registration is open now. Head to northmetro.org/events.

Discipleship & Marriage
RE:GENERATION
Are you hurting, feeling stuck, giving up hope for change, or wanting to identify and remove obstacles for a deeper fellowship with God? Wonder why you keep struggling with the same thing day after day, year after year? You’re not alone. We all have struggles to overcome. Whether big or small, these destructive thoughts and habits hold us back from the life we want—and the life God calls us to live. Through His Word, God offers us principles where freedom and new life can be found. re:generation is for everyone, no matter who you are or what you are struggling with. Visit northmetro.org/regeneration to learn more.
RE|ENGAGE
re|engage is a marriage enrichment ministry designed for couples ready to invest time and energy into building a stronger marriage. Through a mix of large-group teaching and small-group discussion, you and your spouse are challenged and encouraged with practical ways to apply the gospel of Jesus to your marriage. Couples are discipled and equipped to grow in their walk with Christ and their marriages by studying and applying biblical principles within a small group structure. We offer re|engage twice a year, beginning in August and January. To learn more, visit our Marriage page at northmetro.org/marriage.
MERGE
Strong, healthy marriages start long before the wedding. To build a marriage that lasts and gets off to a great start, we encourage all engaged couples to participate in Merge, our premarital discipleship class. Merge classes are available to those who regularly attend NMC and are already engaged. Our next Merge class will begin in Fall 2025. To learn more, visit our Marriage page at northmetro.org/marriage.
MERGE 2.0
Have you previously been married, are in a new relationship and are seriously considering marriage? In Merge 2.0, we have curriculum specific to helping you
lay the foundation for a healthy second marriage. Through the workbook content and a mentor couple who has navigated the dynamics of a second marriage successfully by your side, Merge 2.0 will give you the tools to help you decide if you’re ready for marriage and if so, how to build a biblical marriage. To learn more, visit our Marriage page at northmetro.org/marriage.
Care
PRAYER
Prayer is powerful. It’s one of the most important things we can do as a church. Our staff and leadership would love to come alongside you, fight for you in whatever difficulty you may be experiencing, and celebrate any answered prayers. To share your prayer requests, visit northmetro.org/prayer.
HOME REPAIR ASSISTANCE
NMC has a faithful group of men looking to serve widows, single moms, and other ladies in our church. These men are skilled in most areas of basic home repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry; however, they are unable to take on major renovations or projects that require county permitting. If you are a single woman needing assistance with home maintenance or home repairs visit northmetro.org/care to submit your request.
DIVORCE CARE
Divorce Care is a mix of support and learning for those currently separated or divorced. We understand that divorce can be one of life’s most painful trials. While God hates divorce, He doesn’t hate divorced people. Our Divorce Care ministry is led by individuals who understand what you’re experiencing and will support you as you move forward. Through Divorce Care, you will learn how to deal with the heartache of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The College Internship Program is designed for enrolled college students who want to understand and experience the local church’s inner workings to learn more about vocational ministry. It’s designed to make them more aware of their character, competency, strengths, and weaknesses while increasing their understanding of the disciple-making process. In addition, they will have the opportunity to explore different ministries behind the scenes and what is needed to make each ministry function and thrive.
This behind-the-scenes look will help our students better serve at NMC and whatever future Church they attend after graduation as they launch into their careers. Whether they are called to do ministry vocationally or in other professional areas, this program will equip them to help people find and follow Jesus.

out the mission to help people find and follow Jesus, we want to help close a gap that many studies have recently exposed: there is a shortage of ministry leaders for the future Church.
RESIDENCY PROGRAM
To help equip the called, NMC is partnering with Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) to offer ministry leadership training opportunities through a residency program. Residents of this 2-year program are full-time Masters of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL) students and part-time church staff at NMC serving in leadership, thus receiving tangible professional ministry experience and a formal seminary education. Our vision is that this program becomes an avenue where we can equip future ministry leaders to help people find and follow Jesus.
Students in the MACL program will demonstrate a general knowledge of the Bible by studying all 66 books. They will build a Christian theological framework that they will be able to articulate and support while also developing a biblical philosophy of Christian leadership.

Ivan Mijango Casa del Redentor Director
An update from Ivan Mijango. Redeemer's House, or Casa del Redentor, is North Metro Church's international ministry in Panajachel, Guatemala.
13 Years Helping People Find and Follow Jesus in Guatemala.
On January 21, we celebrated the 13th anniversary of CDR since it was officially recognized as an organization by the Guatemalan government. Over the years, we have witnessed the growth and development of the communities we serve. We have seen children grow into teenagers, then adults, and now some are starting their own families. It is almost impossible to count how many children have participated in our programs or how many meals we have served. Even though we may not always see the full impact of our work, we trust that the seed of Jesus’ love that we have planted in their hearts will grow and remain with them for the rest of their lives.
This year, we are starting our operations with new faces on our team. We welcome Edgar and Keila, who will be leading the Maya Language and Tutoring programs, respectively. Both arrived just in time for the beginning of the school year in Guatemala, which runs from February to November.
We are excited to return to the villages we serve, cook for the children, and share with them their much-anticipated Bible classes. This year, we expect to serve approximately 200 children in Patzutzún (the largest village) and 25 children in Chuitizyut (the smallest one). And I have great news for those who have signed up for this year’s mission trips: the road to Chuitizyut is in the process
of being paved and is almost finished, making access to the village much easier and less intimidating, especially for first-time visitors.
In Xecotoj, a small village just 15 minutes from our base in Panajachel, we plan to visit the children three times a week at school to provide them with breakfast, helping them reach their full potential academically, and also to share Faith classes with them. In Panajachel, we have a smaller group of children, but each one is just as important and special to us. Every week, they come to our base, where we support them with their studies and guide them one step closer to Jesus.
2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for this ministry. We have exciting plans and projects in store, all made possible through the support of NMC and our friends who join us on mission trips. One of the first things children ask us when we start our programs is: “When are the missionaries from the United States coming?” or, as they affectionately call them, “the gringos” (with no offense intended). While we don’t always take on construction or renovation projects (during mission trips), sometimes we simply spend time playing soccer with them—and in those moments, they feel so loved and special that they cherish those memories for a very, very long time.
Thank you, NMC, for being part of this adventure with us.
As we head toward 2025, we are praying our guts out and are entirely dependent on the Lord! He has entrusted us with our vision to “Be Missed,” and our mission, “We Help People Find and Follow Jesus.” To live that out, we have set three God-sized goals to aim for as a church.
We currently support seven church plants, including Take Hold in Scotland; Grace Auburn in Auburn, Alabama; Creekside in Dallas, Georgia; Deeper Church in Dallas, Georgia, Heirloom Church in Kyle, Texas; Oaks Community Church in Naples, Florida; and Compassion International in Guatemala.
We’re telling our friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers about our great God, who loves us immeasurably more than we can imagine. We want to celebrate with you if you’ve played a part in helping someone move from death to life or if you came to faith in Christ! We invite you to share your story by visiting the Contact Us page at northmetro.org.
Before Jesus left the disciples, He said, “Go make disciples.” A tangible way to see that hope realized is through our discipleship program, NMCU. We’re looking to see 1,000 people faithfully following Jesus, equipped with knowledge of Scripture, to share their beliefs with others ultimately. NMCU creates disciples that make disciples.
Church plants are an expression of our multiplication strategy, multiplying the mission to help people find and follow Jesus.
