RULES • This meeting is held subject to BHA Regulations for Point-to-Point Steeplechases. • No horse which has been disqualified or is not qualified pursuant to Regulation 150, 151 or 152 and no person who has been prohibited by the Stewards of the BHA from participating in Point-to-Point Steeple Chases pursuant to Regulation 2 (ii) or who is a disqualified person pursuant to Regulation 104 or 160 to 165 inclusive shall be eligible to take part in these Steeple Chases. • NOTICE TO RIDERS - All White Flags to be kept on the LEFT and all Red Flags on the RIGHT. • DECLARATIONS: No rider can be weighed unless the name of the race, and the horse, and the rider has been given to the Clerk of the Scales not less than 3/4 hour before the time fixed for the race. • Any Rider failing to come to Scale 15 minutes before the Race is due to start, will not be weighed out by the Clerk of the Scales. • All horses must parade in the paddock 20 minutes before each race. • The Riders of the First Four horses in each race must weigh in. • An Honorary Surgeon and Honorary Veterinary Surgeon will be in the Weighing Tent after each race. • Riders who have had a fall MUST report to the Doctor in the Weighing Tent and be passed fit before they can ride again on the same day. • IF A RACE IS DIVIDED, the cup and/or trophy will be presented to the owner and/or rider of the horse completing the course in the fastest time. The person receiving the presentation is responsible for the cup or trophy for the year. WEIGHTS AND ALLOWANCES Owners are reminded that in all races 4 year old horses and geldings receive a 21lb allowance; 4 year old mares receive a 28lb allowance; 5 year old horses and geldings receive a 7lb allowance; 5 year old mares receive a 14lb allowance; mares of 6 years old and upwards receive a 7lb allowance. Representing and campaigning for you: we use our seat on the Point to Point Authority Board to ensure grassroots' concerns and opinion is heard. At our 2018 AGM we provided an opportunity for members to talk directly with key decision makers from across the sport there will be a second Members' Forum at our AGM on May 31st 2019 Strengthening - and promoting - reinvesting in Grassroots Point to Pointing: this season we are using our resources to fund: * "The Road To Stratford" - an extensive programme of grassroots contests and awards. This season we have introduced 9 new contests and awards that are exclusive to our members. In addition we have our best ever collection of contests for young riders including a £1000 novice riders' final at Edgcote on 19th May. We are also continuing to spotlight emerging equine talent with our Young Horse Awards, and continuing our popular monthly awards - all of these are open to all.
