f “Mi Caseta – Flamenco Nights” is a wonderful experience that aims to show the Andalusian culture with the best flamenco music and dance, and also through the gastronomy of our land. Our aim is to immerse the public into a magic atmosphere recreated by a carefully settled scenography of an exclusive ‘tablao flamenco’ where you can feel the culture, the magic and the emotion of the tradition and the purest essence of the Andalusian soul. We stand out for the top-quality of our show that is aimed for both international and national tourism.
The experience The flamenco show consists of around two hours of an intense and awesome flamenco performance. Musical instruments such as the piano, sax, trombone, vocals and guitars are mixed with the passion of the dance and the flamenco soul. The performance is divided into some thematic parts separated by breaks so that attendees can feel the flamenco experience at the same time that they enjoy a typical southern Spanish dinner. Our cuisine merges tradition and avant-garde with the integration of products from the local region. At the beginning of the show, attendees are given a bottle of ‘manzanilla’ as one of the most popular wines of Andalusia. Besides, customers have the choice to order additional drinks or portions of the offered menu. 2

EDITOR PAGE At last summer is now making itself felt and the beaches are filling up with people, it is a great pity we cannot join them when working. It is the price we have to pay to produce a quality monthly publication both printed and online. Furthermore we have extended our services with promotion in social pages as well as all types of printed material from business cards to magazines and even printed paper bags and table cloths at very competitive prices in order to provide a more complete marketing service which includes professional web page design and hosting. When it gets to this time of year we have to start thinking about Christmas and the New Year hoping that by then the Brexit chaos will be sorted.

Did you know that..? EU’s richest bankers live in the UK. More than 3,500 bankers in the UK are paid more than £850,000 (€1m) per year, the European Banking Association has revealed. In a report, the EBA said that thirty UK bankers were paid more than €10m each, and in one case a single asset manager banked €40.9m. It also revealed that the UK was home to 73% of all millionaire bankers across Europe, with nine times more in the country compared to Germany and 15 times more than in France. The Guardian London most expensive place to rent in Europe. London is the most expensive place to rent in Europe. and the fourth most expensive in the world, according to a new report. The study compared the average cost per month of a threebedroom home in 279 cities, with London - at £5,187 -coming out on top. European cities are seeing huge rental growth as Brexit bites, notes the report, with Paris seeing a £107-per-month boost as businesses relocate to the French capital. Daily Telegraph The most coveted employee benefit of all? Time. In a tight labour market, companies have tried everything, from on-site hair salons to yoga classes, to attract and keep workers. But according to a national survey, what workers want most is simply more free time. Unlimited paid holiday emerged as the most desired benefit, with 72% of workers surveyed saying they’d want it over things like rewards for healthy living, paid sabbaticals or on-site services like laundry or childcare. The handling of Brexit is a humiliation. 90% of people think the Government’s handling of Brexit has been a national humiliation, according to a Sky Data poll. A ComRes poll for The Daily Telegraph and The Express found that 35% of people support abandoning Brexit and staying in the EU: 48% say they “just want Brexit sorted and don’t really care how”. Sky Sitting down all day blamed for 1 in 9 deaths. One in nine deaths in the UK – tens of thousands every year – are caused by sitting down in an office all day, a study led by Queen’s University Belfast finds. Sitting for at least six hours a day costs the NHS £700m annually, researchers claim. They say office workers should be encouraged to stand up every hour and walk in breaks. Daily Mail Europe will scrap daylight saving time from 2021. But whether the UK joins its neighbours depends on the results of Brexit. The European Parliament decided on last week to give member states the choice between remaining on permanent summer or permanent winter time year-round. The UK may be affected if it remains in the EU or during the transition period, and the development could potentially split Ireland into two time zones. The Guardian Ultimate limit of human endurance defined. US researchers say they have found a formula for the top limit of human physical endurance after studying data from a 3,000-mile run, the Tour de France and other ultimate athletic events. The team, from Duke University, say the average person can expend at most 2.5 times the body’s resting metabolic rate per day – around 4,000 calories. BBC

GASTRONOMIC
Estepona, also named the garden of Andalucia by its Mayor, has become a popular destination for both tourists and residents, yet it still retains it’s old Andalusian charm despite modernisation. It is not just the beautiful beaches and the sea, it is everything combined that makes Estepona an attractive town to visit or live in. We start with our introduction of Estepona and its local gastronomy. Whereas the town is famous for its fish restaurants with a mixture of modern and traditional restaurants just about everywhere, you are spoilt for choice between all types of eateries from Spanish to French, Italian, and Chinese and so on. In this section we propose to introduce some of the better and some lesser known but worth knowing restaurants.

THE “GELATO” IS MADE ON THE PREMISES FRESH EVERY DAY AND YOU HAVE A MASSIVE CHOICE OF OVER 40 DIFFERENT FLAVOURS.
A corner of Italy in Estepona
S
itting at La Italiana while sipping a real cappuccino or tucking into one of those incredibly delicious “Gelati” you practically forget you are in the centre of Estepona, right by a fountain and in a piazza. This is exactly what people do in Italy with some of their leisure time. You really cannot get any closer to the real thing.
But it is not just the ambiance and the excellent service, it is also the originality of what they serve that makes the difference. When you come home from a trip to Italy, you are most likely to rave about the “gelato” which really is not the same as ice cream, because it has a lower percentage of fat than ice cream and is denser with a richer texture.
At La Italiana the “gelato” is made on the premises fresh every day and you have a massive choice of over 40 different flavours. The fruit flavours are all made with real fruit. If you find this difficult to choose from, just ask for a small taster. The girl serving at the counter will be only too pleased to help.

You can order a cone or tub at the counter and just continue to enjoy your walk or even better you might like to sit at a table and order from a mouth-watering illustrated menu a choice of rather amazing real fruit sundaes. The service is quite prompt. Italians are not famous for ice cream, but rather more specifically they are famous for gelato! The fruit flavours, which are made with real fruit, are especially refreshing in summer.
Feeling Guilty? For your own peace of mind, “Gelato” typically offers fewer calories, less sugar and lower fat content per serving than ice cream. The typical 3.5 oz. serving of vanilla “gelato” contains 90 calories and 3 grams of fat, compared to 125 calories and 7 grams of fat in the average vanilla ice cream.

LAND & PROPERTY
IT PAYS TO BUILD YOUR OWN PROPERTY OR IMPROVEMENTS BUT… Established over 25 years ago, Matecno SL is proud of its excellent quality of service and reputation of reliability.
As a family business, Matecno SL is headed by Vicente Boscá and is dedicated to building management. Vicente Boscá is a serious architectural technician and a building engineer, very well known by most developers in the area for his integrity. Although it does pay to build your own, the initial problems that one encounters when building or improving properties in Spain are presented by the permissions and licences required for the different aspects of construction. This could take time and can be costly especially when, after the work is done, the local authority has reasons to object. We have seen the unfortunate episodes that have taken place in different parts of Spain. The next problem is to make sure that the work is completed on time to prevent the cost of labour exceeding the budgets, which can be very expensive. This is followed by making certain that the cost of materials is not exceeded through miscalculation or theft. Vicente and his team will cover and take care of every single angle conceivable to make certain that every possible aspect of the building procedures is covered and detailed starting from acquiring the building permissions and licences to delivering the completed job on time within the budgeted costs. 28
www.webexpressguide.com
Vicente Boscá believes in making absolutely certain that any deviation from the forecast is an improvement to it and not a step back whilst maintaining the highest standard of quality desired. MATECNO’s service can be summarised as follows: Investigate the Feasibility of Each Project Financial & Economic Viability Study Investment Analysis & Project Financing Planning & Building Permissions Processing of Licenses & Permits Building Budget Controls Daily Building Cost & Time Controls Daily Monitoring and Quality Control Marketing Collaboration
MATECNO SL is also committed to introducing the latest technologies available in the market for all its projects. With the help of Oscar Boscá, also a technical architect and building engineer, they have introduced the BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology, this monitors the complete life cycle of a building, from the beginning to its completion, using computer tools that allow to control all construction parameters down to the millimetre (deadlines, costs, future building maintenance etc.)

OPINION
Understanding the Italian Coffee culture THE ESPRESSO IS THE PUREST FORM OF COFFEE DRINK AND THE KEY TO UNDERSTANDING THE CULTURE.
Drinking coffee in Italy is different, a speciality that prevented big chains cafés to take a foothold, and to understand why, we need to look at how the modern espresso came into being – and how that shaped Italy’s culture and identity.
The Espresso Machine
The original concept was to prepare a coffee drink fast and the first machine for making “espresso” was invented by Angelo Moriondo of Turin in 1884, but an improved design was eventually patented in 1903 by Luigi Bezzera. The patent was then purchased by La Pavoni who produced it commercially in Milan. Bezzera machine

OPINION
The shots, extracted in 45 seconds, had a consistency and taste that resembles modern filter coffee more closely than modern espressos. Of course with greater machine improvements the term “espresso” gave birth to 19th century coffee houses that soon became popular bars for workers. It was in 1938 that the first record of the word “barista” emerged, it was definitely nothing to do with Starbucks. The word was adopted during WW2 to replace “barman”, an American word.
Then in 1947, the next great development was made by Gaggia’s hand-pumped machine. With these machines, far more pressure could be exerted over the coffee puck, meaning that essential oils and colloids were squeezed through. An essential part of the modern espresso. The Italian coffee culture created in the ‘40s remains fairly consistent to this day, despite increasing levels of globalisation. Italians go to their local café, order an espresso (refusing to pay a high price for it), and then head to their next appointment. Back | Gaggia’s hand-pumped machine
Achille Gaggia in 1947
For many of us, drinking espresso means tasting excellent coffees with a complex flavour profile, often unobscured by milk or sugar. But for a lot of Italians it means walking into a neighbourhood bar, grabbing an adrenaline-pumping shot before heading to work, or quietly sipping a cafe latte on a sunny day.

OPINION
While Italian coffee culture remains unaffected by globalisation, it has resulted in a global coffee culture and the exportation of the espresso has been an astonishing success all over the world. Yet that doesn’t mean that all these espresso-based coffees are strictly Italian. Take an American cappuccino: compared to its Italian equivalent, it often contains double the quantity of milk but the same amount of coffee. Italy is aware of this distortion of what they perceive to be almost a national drink, attempts have been made to reappropriate the concept. At one point, the Italian government appealed to the World Trade Organisation in an attempt to restrict the use of the phrase “Italian espresso”. The Italian Parliament now sends inspectors around the world to “certify” whether coffee produced in various locations matches Italian quality standards. Attempts to control the concept have so far failed, Italy may have invented the first modern espresso machine, but coffee is a beverage that exists all over the world in many different formats. These attempts show a fiercely proud and defensive attitude on the part of Italians for their coffee. It is of no surprise that big café brands and specialty coffee have failed to penetrate the Italian scene based on years old coffee culture. Caffè Florian is a coffee house situated in the Procuratie Nuove of Piazza San Marco, Venice. It was established in 1720, and is the oldest coffee house in continuous operation in Italy, and the second oldest in the World (after Café Procope in Paris).

HEALTH
Venereal Diseases Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections that can pass from one person to another through sexual activities and intimate physical contact
Who is at risk of contracting an STI?
Dra. Marta Frieyro Elícegui Specialist in Dermatology HC Marbella
How frequent are STI´s?
It is impossible to know exactly because there is a significant number of under declarations and underdiagnoses worldwide. For example, HIV infection, which currently has a pattern of sexual transmission in urban and coastal areas, has rates above the rest of Andalusia in Malaga. Also in 2018, Málaga is among the provinces with the highest rates of syphilis, gonococcal infection and infection by Chalmydia Trachomatis along with Seville and Granada. There are more than 1 million new curable sexually transmitted infections every day
42
www.webexpressguide.comHC
Any person who has sex is at risk of contracting them. It is estimated that half of sexually active people will contract an STI before the age of 25. •
• • •
In Andalusia the population most affected are young men of 25 and 29 years old and women between 20-24 years. The risk groups are gay men and sexually active bisexuals. Patients with HIV infection. People who have previously suffered another STI.
How is an STI acquired?
STIs are spread through sexual contact with a person who has the disease. This sexual contact includes sexual relations at the genital, anal and oral levels, as well as genital skin-to-skin contact.
Marbella International Hospital
HEALTH
How can I suspect if I have an STI?
Unfortunately, most sexually transmitted diseases do not show signs or symptoms. So any person who has had or has sexual relations, could be infected. Therefore, if there is any suspicion of STIs early diagnosis by health personnel is recommending especially with young, sexually active people who visit the clinic. Among the possible symptoms are genital warts, ulcers and urethral discharge or vaginal exudation. What are the screening tests to check for STI?
It is necessary to make a detailed history this includes a questionnaire about your sexual habits, a thorough physical examination, a blood test, and taking microbiological samples to include cultures and molecular biology techniques at the genital level (penis, vagina, cervix uterus), anal or oral, according to sexual practices. These tests are simple and have a high sensitivity. What happens if STIs are not diagnosed and treated?
Untreated STIs can cause serious and permanent health problems, even if you never have symptoms. Among them, higher risk of transmitting or contracting an HIV infection, inability to get pregnant, complications during pregnancy or increased risk of developing premalignant and malignant lesions, mainly in the cervix in women or anally in the case of anal intercourse in both sexes. A very important risk group is men who have sex with men (MSM) who must undergo periodic studies at this level to prevent anal cancer, especially if not suffering from HIV infection.
What should I do if I have just received the news that I have an STI?
The first step is to seek treatment, in most cases it is quick and effective; and not having sex until your doctor tells you to. It is also essential to communicate with your partner or sexual partners. In these cases, the best advice we can give our patients is to be frank and direct with couples. In addition, in some cases, you may have contracted the infection in a previous relationship without even knowing it. It is important that everyone knows what their situation is. Only in this way can measures be taken to protect patients and their partners. How can I protect myself from acquiring an STI?
Deciding to be sexually active means putting yourself at risk of getting an STI. To protect your health it is important to limit the number of sexual partners, insist that the use of condoms is not negotiable in case of sporadic sexual relations and also gay men, bisexuals and men who have sex with men should know that they have greater risk of contracting hepatitis A and B virus infections, and that there are vaccines available against these viruses. In recent years we already have acquired the vaccine against the human papillomavirus (HPV) that is already recommended to women and men, although it would be ideal to receive it before the beginning of sexual relations.

THAT’S LIFE
What happens when you die young? “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it”. Albert Einstein. In the first place, many in your life will be shocked and deeply bereaved. Your grandparents and parents and siblings will have a sad and painful burden to bear in their entire lives. Your friends will miss you and not believe you could be gone, they just texted you, and you didn’t answer. Acceptance will be hard to come by at times of an “untimely death.” Everyone will feel it should not have happened, that it is out of the natural order where the older generations move on first in the scheme of things to make room for the new. Millions of people die in all ages all around the world, about 150,000 humans die every single day, but of course you will always be loved, and never forgotten. They will

remember you when you’re at your prime, when you’re the strongest, most capable, and most joyful and carefree but also at your most foolish, ruthless, or unprepared. This is why it is wise to plan your funeral yourself while you can. If the first place you will have the kindness to save your family and friends the agony of organising it at a most distressing time. In the second place you will feel relieved to have done so while ensuring that the funeral is one of your choice at a cost that is cheaper today than tomorrow. If you decide to plan your own funeral just make sure you do so with a company that is licenced to do so and that is likely to be around when needed (NB: there are no foreign licenced undertakers in Spain).
For your information Francisco Camero is a long established licenced Spanish Funeral Directors organisation now in its third generation, also on the recommended licenced funeral directors provided by the UK Foreign Office.

THE BEST CONSUMERS’ MARKET ON THE COSTA is the middle represented by high level consumers who need to know you
To be known on the Costa you need to advertise your message all the time because PEOPLE COME AND PEOPLE GO CONSTANTLY Too many social media pages with announcements of short duration are time consuming for limited exposure.
Unless you can afford to advertise on National Radio and Television Channels your audience is limited to a few locals and only sometimes.
Unless you are as well known as Johnnie Walker or Pepsi Cola driving past large signs on the roads is not the answer.
Too many cheap publications promoting illegal businesses, leaflets and means to save money cannot have the desired effect on the desired market.
PRINTING IS YOUR BEST ANSWER BUT... Newspapers are expensive, they are not designed to target/reach your desired consumer, they do not represent the quality of your business and they mix your business with too many others including competitors.
Quality, expensive looking magazines are a good option but the cost is high and they do not justify the return.

In the game, players control a member of an ape clan and have to manage the player character’s health by eating, drinking, and sleeping.
