In fact, Filippo and Rosaria renovated it themselves and, boy, has their hard work paid off! It oozes with their passion for it and what a kind couple they are. Ray & Annie love this trullo, which so reflects the owners - one passionate about her garden, the other passionate about his cooking. Helen loves sitting on the terrace, the scent of lavender in the air - and those views - wow! This detached trullo is in an elevated position, with superb views towards the town. In a lovely, rural location, it is idyllic - an absolutely spectacular spot. The owners use the trullo themselves, so it is more of a comfortable home than holiday accommodation. They love colour and it feels cosy and welcoming, with delightful personal touches and lots of character. The main trullo has two en-suite bedrooms and another detached trullo cone has a charming double en-suite bedroom, with unhindered view, from its terrace - perfect for teenagers, grandparents, or a romantic couple.

The owners are from Verona, and they have an eye for décor and good taste, so it has an interesting blend of traditional trullo and contemporary style. The original, rustic cones and newly-built “lamie” take on a modern twist inside, with an intriguing choice of materials and stylish furnishings. There is a charming patio and a terrace, with a large stone table and stone seating, for al fresco dining - a triumph and a real temptation to “cook at home”.

Unique boutique trullo masseria of quality apartments, with stunning pool. Annie just adores it…and she wants to take Feli the dog, and Whisky the cat home. About 2km from Cisternino, in an elevated position, this masseria in trulli is quite spectacular. The lovely owners, Luisa and Giuseppe, live next door, on their working farm, and they have created a unique little jewel. The five apartments are of tasteful good quality and there is so much stone and trullo, that they feel solid and cosy. Each one has its own charming outside space, and the pool is utterly delightful - for so few apartments it feels like quite a luxury. Guests self-cater, but breakfast is included - typical local delicacies to tempt you, a perfect start to the day and a great way to get to know everyone.

A beautiful Baroque town, Martina Franca is perfect for the very best experience of Pugliese life. On a lovely tree-lined street, this town house, with two apartments, is special. Dating back to the 1880’s, the typically steep staircase leads to the tasteful apartments, which are of a particularly high standard, offering very good quality. One guest wrote, “The owners and apartment were lovely - so close to the historical centre, yet, within minutes, we were in the beautiful Itria Valley. As for the Sunday tradition of buying cakes - never seen so many people buying cakes, at one time, in my life!.”

Something for everyone, trullo apartments, lovely pool, cookery activities. Paul arranged a birthday bash here and it was really successful. He loves Carole & Mino, who are great hosts. In a beautiful setting, with olive trees, fruit trees, grapevines, lawns and a lovely swimming pool, with splendid views over the countryside, this quaint cluster of trullo apartments, near attractive, historical towns and lovely beaches, is simply but tastefully furnished, retaining all the original charm and character. Mino, a well-known chef, often involves guests in cookery demonstrations, parties, pizza-making or barbecues, and we receive many tales of fantastic evenings, with lots of fun and incredible food. Guests are welcome to pick figs, cherries and any fruit in season, although it may be wise to avoid picking the grapes for Mino’s wine!

A great trullo hotel, with real style - unique. Helen loves its laid-back atmosphere. It’s special and there’s just nothing else like it! Near Locorotondo, Il Palmento is magical and tranquil. A gloriously beautiful hamlet of trulli, in picturesque countryside, it is surrounded by well-kept lawns and pretty flower gardens, and has two lovely pools. Beautifully restored and very tasteful, the rooms are in trulli and are full of character. The bar, with its elegantly furnished terrace, is in the ‘Palmento’, where they used to tread the grapes - a perfect spot for an ‘aperitivo’. The reception was once the bakery. The cosy and welcoming lounge has a huge fireplace, for cooler months, and leads to the barrel-vaulted restaurant. Our clients have heaped praise on the cuisine. We love its uniqueness and “un-hotel-like” ambience.
