Elaine Hughes qualied as a nurse 40 years ago, gaining experience in a local private hospital; nursing patients with both medical and surgical conditions, she was able to convert to a rst level nurse in 1993 gaining even greater experience and knowledge.

She joined Morris Care at Radbrook in 2008 and was promoted from Team Leader to Deputy Nurse Manager before becoming the Home Registered Manager.

Today Radbrook celebrates a committed team of 80 who ensure their residents receive the highest quality of care.

Radbrook has five spacious sitting rooms and seating areas and an elegant dining room, all located close to residents’ bedrooms, which allows for easy access. For peace and tranquility, Radbrook also has a peaceful courtyard garden and conservatory with seating areas to enjoy spending time with friends and family or for those quiet reflective moments.

We celebrate the independence of each resident in our home whether it’s through the personal care programme you receive, your food and dietary choices, or, even through your Lifebook - a personal journey, detailing key events and milestones through pictures.

Our teams have been trained to the highest standards to care with compassion and sensitivity as well as having the correct skill set to manage your well being. Our care services are individually designed and tailored to meet and support your needs.

Social Wellbeing Day to day life should be enjoyable and they say variety is the spice of life. At Radbrook, this enjoyment can often be found when watching a good film, enjoying an afternoon tea at our summer parties, by having a day out with friends or simply by maintaining a sense of independence.

At Radbrook we have a dedicated social life coordinator who is part of the core care team.

The Social Life Coordinator’s role is to ensure that the quality care and compassion you receive from the nursing staff is supplemented by a focus on your social wellbeing.

If you need five minutes to yourself, you can enjoy the sensory garden filled with an abundance of lavender, thyme and mint in summer, or you can while away the day watching the sunset over the idyllic Shropshire fields.

These activities offer the chance to mix with other residents, family and friends, as you wish, but importantly help to maintain a fulfilling daily lifestyle to create new stories and continue to learn new skills, which is essential to the care we offer at Radbrook.
