"There are 3 major things. The first is personal touches, the second is classic with a twist - and the third is just embracing vibrant, really beautiful color.
Lots of exciting things happening, and ultimately, it's all about personalization and just creating something memorable and a perfect keepsake for your wedding."
Ceci Johnson, Founder and Creative Director, Ceci New York
On design and style...
"Couples will be making eco-conscious decisions for their 2020 weddings. We'll see an abundance of British and homegrown flowers, natural and reclaimed materials which will influence the overall look and feel of wedding design. We're not talking rustic and chintz though, millennial couples will still be looking for elegant and modern styling"

On celebrity weddings...
A huge trend we will see is a different twist on the wedding party. Instead of having bridesmaids and groomsmen, many couples are opting to have "VIPs" instead. These are people that will get ready with them and be in plenty of photos, but they will not be forced to wear whatever is selected for them, nor will they have to carry bouquets or do anything else traditional. Personally, I love this trend."

On LGBTQ weddings...
"As gender fluidity becomes more of an understood concept, the term 'bridal' is evolving. It no longer refers solely to a female-identifying person. I've had many male-identifying readers want to feel 'bridal' on their wedding day. With more male-identified and non-binary celebrities such as Billy Porter and Jonathan Van Ness rocking dramatic trains and capes on the red carpet, I foresee that inspiration to start moving over to the wedding space in the near future. While you still should swap out 'bridal' to the more gender-neutral 'wedding' for hetero-normative terminology such as 'bridal party', 'bridal suite', and 'bridal bouquet' in your copy and communications, don't be surprised if one of your male clients wants to feel bridal with his wedding day look or general feeling."
Brittny Drye, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Love Inc.
On catering trends...
"Couples today want convenient, sophisticated culinary experiences with fresh, natural and additive-free food. They need transparency in the source and the way it's prepared. So embrace this one, because this one's not going away. "

On Bridal fashion t rends...
"The 2020 modern bride, will choose to wear a simplistic style with an unapologetically edgy flair. With an emphasise on personal style being key to next years bridal trends, as the fashion conscious bride wants to be dressed in the knowledge she is identifying with her own style."
Emilia Ridealgh, Designer/ Bridal Stylist, Rock the Frock
On Wedding entertainment...
We love seeing couples incorporate scavenger hunt competitions into their cocktail hour. It's less about the cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and more about creating opportunities for loved ones to connect. Along a similar vein, lawn games are hot- Jenga, Connect Four, Corn Hole, Chess, etc. Photo booths are a perennial favorite but now, the options have really leveled up, Slo motion and gif booths are at the top of many couple's "must have" lists.

On photography trends...
"The guest experience has been a major topic for 2020 couples. We are seeing a smaller guest list and a more grand experience. Destination weddings are as popular as ever and pre-wedding excursions or group outings such as clay shoots for the guys and spa trips for the girls are an ever growing part of the wedding weekend. It's all about making each guest fill loved and special."
Arden Upt on, Owner, Arden Phot ography.
On venue trends...
"A new wave of modern weddings are embracing the luxury country home, with exquisite interiors infused with design details, and the emphasis firmly focused on exclusive use and a weekend experience. I predict clients looking to marry in the UK will be searching for venues that offer exclusive design details, history, and flexibility."
Pamella Dunn, Creative Director & CEO, Pamella Dunn Events
On Bridal hair and beauty..
"What we're noticing is that brides want a very natural, almost dewy look. They may concentrate on the eyes or the lips, but not both. If a bride goes with a bold eye, for example, they'll do a soft lip, or vice versa. With hair, it's interesting to see a shift as more brides let their hair do what it normally does versus what it wouldn't do under other circumstances. Upsweeps will be big- but brides will want soft tendrils coming down, not necessarily as curls. They will embrace natural colors- we aren't going to see a lot of platinum blonde or dark, dark colors. Ombre is also still making a comeback."
