Top 2020 Wedding Themes

Themes will be fun and exciting in 2020, with individuality ranking above all else. People planning their weddings for 2020 will be looking into themes such as retro (vintage, country, rock and roll), tropical opulence, desert, and timeless elegance with modern twists (granny chic, anyone?). There will be a shift more toward theme than color palette, for instance weddings being planned around a favorite book or TV show. Eco-friendly, zero waste weddings are also rising in popularity. There will be lots of fun renting opportunities to go along with these trends, such as vintage arcade games and neon signage for the retro theme, luxurious indoor furniture for use in the outdoors for tropical opulence, fun twists on succulent inspired decor (lining the aisle, incorporating into the bouquet, etc.) for the desert-themed wedding, and gold-rimmed glassware and vintage patterns for the grandmillennials out there. Vendors will see lots of exciting, widespread opportunities for creativity.

Couples are also venturing into themes that specifically depicting a country or city's culture, such as Morocco themes, California Chi, Oriental Beauty, Manhattan glamour will be the style they adopt and apply. Vibrant colours or minimalistic creatives will be the two extreme expressions loved by many brides. You will see either bold red and black themes, or white and classic creat ives.

A nature-inspired design will be the top wedding theme for 2020. Think garden and natural elements with lush greens, moss, and English garden flowers. W will see more floral patterns and prints everywhere, from bridesmaid dresses to table linens and stationery. We will also see the theme of shades of blue coming in strong for 2020, utilizing hues that are light and bright. Punchy bright blues will be at the forefront of the color wheel for Spring weddings.
