Table Design Trends
"There are two opposing trends emerging in table design; - Eco-minimalism, think neutral palettes of latte, sand and mustard layered with eco-conscious tableware including recycled glassware, eathernware crockery and heirloom cutlery paired with wild and natural floral arrangements filled with textured grasses, dried florals and unusual fresh blooms. - Maximalism, this trend is all about more is more! Clashing colour palettes, contrasting textures, patterns and oversized florals. Decorative glassware, gilt-edged crockery and opulent linens add to the abundance with OTT details including tassels, embroidery and embellishments on place settings, stationery & more.

"We will see the use of bolder, bigger, and brighter floral prints as couples are not afraid of color or pattern used on their tables anymore. We will also see mixing and matching of linen and tabletop items allowing for the layering of textures. For example - using a satin linen with a larger floral print and a gauze napkin tied in a knot. Color is going to continue to be big. We see more options in terms of colors in china, flatware, and glassware. This allows for different hues to be mixed and matched together for a one of a kind design. Colored chargers are also making a comeback and are a great way to add a pop of color to the tabletop design."

"Candles with sleek candle stands will be used more and more in the next wave of table designs. Both elements create a very modern and yet intimate settings for small or lavish weddings. They add a romantic and elegant ambience to the overall. These days, couples prefer to create face to face interactions with their guests at the tables, large table centrepieces may not be used that much on long tables. Instead, hanging trellis or hanging arrangements will be deployed more for a bett er dining experience."

Table design is taking a break from the standard 5?rounds and embracing long-styled tops featuring independent satellite florals with tons of candles. Colored candles are also becoming more and more present with more shades to choose from. Texture is the name of the game when it comes to tabletops. We will see the layering of chargers along with unique linen patterns and customized menu cards and paper details that will add a dash of the couple?s personality to t he look.
